I have to say, I'm not happy with Ferrellgas, but I think it is more this location than the company as a whole. Over the past 5 years, I've dealt with issues where they don't come out when they are supposed to, or when they do, they don't bring the correct equipment to fill my tanks. The most recent experience just happened and I'm furious!!!
Ferrellgas came out on 7/9/24 to fill my right side tank (120 gallon), but the driver who came went to the left side tank (500 gallon) for the generator and proceeded to fill the tank. Alcides was his name. I told him Right means Right side of house. After filling the 500 gallon with 82 gallons, he went over to the RIGHT side and said he couldn't fill the tank that feeds my house appliances because he didn't have the correct attachment. He was lazy and rude! I had to fight with Ferrellgas to get them to come out again (they provided zero advance notice of when they come) and then had to fight them to remove a second delivery fee because the first guy filled the incorrect tank because he doesn't know his left from RIGHT.
Yesterday, my wife said she smelled gas. I called the emergency line immediately. The guy came out 2 hours later (no advance notice again), but this guy was nice. When he opened the cover we could hear hissing. My FULL tank was now at 30%!!!! After 15 minutes, he calls me over and said the previous installer must have left the bleeder valve open - problem fixed. ALL the time, I was BBQ'ing in the back yard while hundreds of gallons of propane filled the air - how DANGEROUS!!!
Now, my bill shows a charge of $385 for the emergency service and my FULL tank is now at 30% in Hurricane Season!!! I just called again, but the District Manager and people in Medley are never available to speak, and my past experience has been they never call back. My expectations are simple, refill my tank at no cost to me since YOUR driver is the one that messed up and left me with a very DANGEROUS situation, causing the need for an emergency visit and cost me 250-300 Gallons of lost propane! This BETTER be resolved!
Follow up - I just heard back (9/5/24). They are going to waive the leak investigation charge, fill the tank back up and work on providing better service. I appreciate the call and apology for the poor service.

very impressed & very pleased with Ferrellgas and it’s people. We switched over from Amerigas, where every ask was a problem and a reason for extra fees. we found Ferrell to be solution-oriented, get-it-done-right people. particularly their tech Jed Cook in Coral Gables-Pinecrest. Outstanding service. would highly recommend!

Terrible service. I moved and they had just filled my tank a week before I left so I asked the representative if they were going to buy the gas back and she lied and told me the last time the tank was filled was in June. So disappointing, I would never do business with these thieves again.

Terrible. I paid the $135 for the safety inspection before the fill up the tank.21 days later, they never showed up. I just spoke on the phone with them, and it will take at least another 2 weeks.

They get one star because I couldn’t put zero stars. My tanks were scheduled to be filled and paid for and they never showed up. I have been calling for 3 weeks and keep getting the run around. “Someone will call you back” no one has called me back. First they say I need a repair, then they said it was done and they will go fill the tanks, then the repairs have not been done, a tech will go out and after 3 weeks I can’t even get an appt. It’s been a horrible experience.

I called Ferrell gas on Thursday for the very first time, received great customer service, and my above ground lp tank got filled the next day. Excellent customer service and delivery, I will keep using Ferrell gas in the future.

I called every residential propane service provider for my area and many of them failed before speaking to anyone. For superb customer service, straight forward pricing, and promises kept, Ferrellgas wins my business.

I called up the Medley office and they told me they re-certified propane tanks at their location for $15 a tank. When I took a ride there at 1 pm, some 45 miles away from my house, the place was closed. When I called them, they said their new place was in Ft. Myers. Not updating their new location is not a way to run a business. I wasted two hours of my time and half a tank of gas to find that out.

I am looking at purchasing a propane generator. I called to find out what I needed and Kim was very helpful. I will go with them if I go with the propane generator. Very helpful and knowledgeable!
