Long Point Park is an 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon. It features a beautiful and very well-kept campground with large, waterfront sites near the beach and ocean. The park offers a boat ramp, a small fishing dock, a fish cleaning station, and convenient trash facilities. Adjacent and connected by a bridge, Scout Island provides primitive camping and more than a mile of wonderful nature trails to explore by paddleboard, kayak, or small boat. It is a pet-friendly park with excellent, kind, and wonderful employees. The facilities are nice and clean, though the well water is noted to have an awful smell. The park is open from dawn until dusk and is a favorite, family-friendly place to camp, fish, and enjoy nature.
This place is great. Layed back staff. They got bathrooms a kids park some trees for shade tables all I need. I launch my kayak here often. The reason not 5 stars is the county website it's not good.
