Been there twice, and he's been hurt there both times. The first time he jumped off a table with a breathing tube down his mouth. Our most recent visit was for a wellness check up. He came home with a large scratch behind his left ear. This visit cost $300 since we terminated the Banfield subscription due to the poor treatment our animal has received.

Today was my puppy's first vet visit since coming home with me and she's 9 weeks old. This was also my first time bringing a pet to Banfield. I would like to thank Savannah and Dr. Barbosa for being so amazing during my puppy's first time at the vet.Highly recommend this Banfield!

I’ve been taking my fur baby here for almost 12 yrs. They are very transparent. If they can’t do it they’ll tell you where the best place to go. It’s a solid place with decent prices.

The vet changes every appt, as if no one wants to work here. It’s become very corporate, a money grab, and the wellness plan is setup to keep you stuck with them. Literally go anywhere else. And please, spare me with the response to this post. You guys know exactly what you do lol

Do not recommend the blonde haired vet she is absolutely horrible. If you have to work with her I suggest leaving. She was passive aggressive and manipulative. All to try and get money out of me and disregarding what other vets have told me.

My dog had rectal bleeding after taking it to this vet for a checkup. This had never happened to any of my dogs ever. When I called and shared my concern I was told to bring my own sample next time. There will NOT be a next time. There are many competent Doctors in Melbourne that do care about the wellness of pets. We will be going to a caring Dr. from now on. Shame on you.

I can only give 3 stars because: 1) I paid close to $1,000, and 2) they didn't inform me or find the issues with my furbaby.I walked into Banfield as an emergency patient, and they did take my furbaby for an exam immediately, did blood work and x-rays immediately, and they kept me informed. Obviously, this was ALL VERY VERY GOOD! While waiting, I did my best to forward ALL my furbaby's records so they had as much information as possible. However, while speaking with the Dr, she was not able to tell me the issue/s with my furbaby. Now, a good 24 hours later, $1,000 lighter, my furbaby still has the same issue. I'm thinking, watching him walk, my furbaby is struggling with his ACL, which was operated on (his normal vet) about 9-10 months ago. The reason I believe the issue is the ACL region, when he walks some steps he drags, or at least you can hear the dragging of his toe nails, on that leg.My furbaby will see his normal doctor today.I'm disappointed only with the lack of information from the vet. This could have been inexperienced or because of being an emergency situation, etc. I AM VERY GRATEFUL, VERY THANKFUL, THEY DID EXAM MY FURBABY IMMEDIATELY EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT PATIENTS OF BANFIELD. Their level of professionalism and level of customer service was excellent. The only reason for my 3 out of 5 stars rating, I never given a diagnosis or anything for pain.

This place is ridiculous, they won’t refill your pets prescription without them coming in for a checkup that’s expensive. My dog was diabetic and needed insulin to live and they wouldn’t refill her prescription without her coming in for the day to do some insulin curve thing that she hated doing and eventually she got really sick and unfortunately passed. If they had just refilled her insulin when she needed it she would probably still be here. I think they should have to refill that stuff for pets that need it to survive.

My 1.5 yo Cornish Rex left in shock yesterday and is now dead. I'm so sad. He went 10 days before and was given prescribed meds. Took him back for follow up and he left in shock and taken to emergency vet. He is now DEAD. Don't go there . The first pics are when he arrived 10 days ago. He is no longer with us. he was a Cornish Rex stud and I'm good health. Now is a memory and it doesn't take 5 hours to figure out he wasn't well and never examined. Shame on their lack of care for animals.

NEVER purchase their pet insurance!!!We were talked into their wellness care. Our sweet Wendy passed away and we called to cancel . We were told that we must pay the entire contract or pay back everything we saved . How cruel .We weren't able to use it much so we will have to pay back what we saved . The vets are very kind but if your pet has issues don't take the chance. On top of losing part of your family there is always a business out there to profit by it. So sad . All about greed and we pet owners are so gullible and vulnerable . Too late for us but maybe I can save another person from some heartache.

This is specific to West Melbourne location on Evans Rd. I love that Banfield. I love my vets and the staff. I trusted them with the end years of my dogs life and eternally grateful how they helped me get thru those tough times with him. I continue to go here for the care of my new fur buddies and couldn't imagine going elsewhere.

Not for emergencies, but very happy with regular vet care and visits. Staff is so nice and always remembers my babies.
