Not gonna get what you booked!Booked a convertible Mustang for a couple of weeks, none available- offered a convertible Camaro, no room in trunk, Dodge Challenger hardtop, Dodge Charger hardtop, finally had to settle for a low spec. Chevy Traverse - not ideal, but after a 9 hour flight we were losing the will to live.Process for pickup was simple and quick, however.

I like the option of signing in with Amazon and you get a credit once you return the car. This trip was a bit frustrating because I paid for a hybrid and when I got there there were no more hybrids. I ended up getting a Toyota Corolla which was brand new and it was nice, however, it wasn't what I paid for. Originally when I was looking for options the hybrid was around $50 more than the economy or compact. I figured that would be a good move so that I could save on gas. I called a few days after my rental and I described why I was a little irritated. And he said well. At this time there's only a $10 difference. Of course there was... I'm thinking.So he said either $10 will credit in 5 to 7 days or will give you a $30 credit toward your next rental. So I opted for the latter. Not sure if I'm going to be able to use the Amazon cash back as well as the $30 offer.So again, it just doesn't work in my favor. I'd rather have gotten my $50 back versus $30 off. But we will see. Maybe it will be a better coupon to use.Other than that, I don't have major complaints about this company. This was just a little frustrating because I didn't get what I paid for.

The pick-up and drop off was the easiest of any car rental company I have used and the minivan was the perfect size for our needs. The staff were courteous and professional, it was a pleasure to have rented with Budget.

Be sure to understand refuelling policy as this was not clearly explained at pick up. Only found about additional charges when it was debited from card. No receipt provided to review at drop off. Complaint not dealt with effectively.

Was charged an extra day to pickup an hour or so early. Vehicles weren't ready and almost every person to visit the counter had issues or cancelled their reservations. Recommend Enterprise or Hertz, haven't had nearly the issues with them.

We reserved a minivan for our trip. It was at least three weeks in advance. When we went to pick up the van, they no longer had a being available. We were informed that the Orlando office came and took all of the large vehicles. So that left us kind of stranded. We did take the Small five person SUV, but it made for a very cramped trip. We were also informed that if we weren’t going to take the small SUV that we would have to either go get our own van from Orlando, or elsewhere, or go to a different place to rent a van. They did not even offer us a refund or a reduced cost for us having to take a smaller vehicle.

I hired a car from budget last year & was overcharged $205.23 reported it to budget & nothing was done about it,hired a car this year paid extra for my 22 year old son to be a second driver was told at the counter that he was to young to drive & he had to be 25,I asked the member of staff to refund me the difference he didn't, instead was overcharged for other things thatI didn't agree to, when I brought the car back & questioned this the member of staff wasn't interested in my complaints & he rudely fobbed me off instead, I've not received $200 deposit back either,the car's you book from budget are never the correct vehicle's you've booked & there not even the correct alternative,a terrible company to do business with & more fool me for using them again??

Kyle WieneckeWhen I got to the airport to pick up my car, I went to the Budget Counter gave the woman my reservation info and my driver's license. She immediately put my license into some sort of scanner then turned to me and said I cannot rent a car to you then just attempted to dismiss me. I told her there was nothing wrong with my Driver's License. What is the issue? I need my car and need it now I asked her to try again she didn't want to, but I insisted so she tried again. But her scanner or whatever she was using wouldn't take the license at all now. Once again, she said I can't rent you a car and walked away. I asked her to help me to resolve this, she had no interest in helping me. Now I am stranded and had to have a car. I went to another car rental company, and I told them the issue I was having with Budget and asked if they could they help me of course unlike the Budget representative they were glad to do so, They started the process of making a reservation for me. They had no problem with me or my license but as this was now a last-minute car reservation it was substantially more expensive. They (the other car rental associate) told me the problem may have been that the back side on my Driver's license had some scratches or that Budget scanner was to working properly and that may have caused a problem with the Budgets scanner. They suggested that I go back to Budget and ask her to try scanning it again or have her manually enter my driver's license manually. So, I now went back to the Budget counter and asked her to scan it again or to enter it manually. She refused to do either. Her total lack of willingness to help as well as her lack of empathy was astounding to me. I now called their (Budget) customer service number. The person I talked with of course was from another country. Not only was he hard to understand he also had a hard time understanding my issue. Bottom line he couldn't help me. So, at this point (more than an hour after I arrived) I was out of options and had to rent the car from the other (helpful) rental car company, of course at a substantially higher price. I would like for Budget to do something so this doesn't happen to someone else. As well as compensate me for my time and the increased cost. My experience with this situation should not have happened. Fredrick with Avis helped us out at the Melborne airport and was so incredibly kind! He upgraded us to a fancy red sports car upon hearing we were taking this vacation for our wedding anniversary! It was such a nice surprise to start out our week! We will definitely keep Avis in mind next time we rent a car because of his kind service!

Fantastic car but sadly now been charged extra on my credit card.No damage to car full insurance returned with full tank of petrol.No explaining why they have took money out of my card.Total cost for 2 weeks with toll card paid for as well £ 1050 .The extra charge they have stolen has spoiled what would have been a great experience . Beware of these car company's all they want is maximum doller at any cost.

Reservations are worthless! I reserved a luxury car and was told at pickup that they were sold out and the only option was a dodge challenger which is a small 2 door trying to fit 4 adults in this car was impossible. The car was a base model cloth no heated seats and it was filthy inside and out someone’s trash was still in the car. Do not ever trust budget for a reservation.

This vehicle was the worst rental car I've ever rented! Tires out of balance, tires were reaching their end of acceptable life and the car would sway all over the road, car was not clean when I received it, vehicle was banged up and damaged, smelled terrible and was making my wife and I sick. It was obviously smoked in previously, it had sticky white stuff throughout the interior, old french fries under the seats, the rear seat belt was broken, 35,000 miles on it, etc. etc! I called Budget the day after I rented to let know how bad this vehicle was( spoke with Letty) she told me I could change the vehicle out in the Melbourne mall location, and she assured me they had cars at that location. Wasted 2 hours of my time driving there to be told they had no cars...period! the woman at that location told me your company is a mess and can't get out of the situation they are in, along with a few other tidbits on Budget. I then went back to Melbourne Airport location, where I picked the car up and wasted more time arguing with your personnel there about the terrible condition of the vehicle, but was told They had no equivalent vehicles but they could give me a Ford Fiesta. I stated that would be way too small, and they agreed and stated "the last three people who rented that vehicle returned it, due to being too small". Basically, they were no help at all and best they could do is have me come back later that day to see if maybe there would be a vehicle available. I told them I was not going to waste any more of my valuable time, and that I didn't feel the car was safe to drive to Marco Island( my destination the next day, 250 miles away) they obviously didn't care. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever received! I usually rent from Enterprise or Alamo and have always had great experiences with them, and if not, they corrected the problem seamlessly and with no hassle. I tried Budget due to the location and rest assured this will be the last time

We reserved a 15 passenger van only to get to the counter and be told they didn't have it. We had to take 15 on a church outing in two hours. "There is nothing we can do," was their response. We had to also drive our own vehicle. VERY poor customer service!! All they had to do was call, text, or email, but they chose to leave us hanging.

Recently rented a car from Budget, on line, for pick up at the MLB airport. The transaction was very smooth. Car was clean and comfortable. Returns were just as easy. I recommend Budget for your next rental.
