I was so pleased and relieved to find out that Carmax made purchasing a vehicle so easy! A staff member named Courtney found exactly what I wanted. She was respectful, professional and pleasant. We had the vehicle delivered in a few days from Lakeland,Fl to Palmbay. I am so glad that I went there. I will definitely be sending my friends and family to Carmax!!!

My salesman was John Lear, as scary as he may look lol that’s the most down to earth man.I was very comfortable, he talked me through everything I needed to know and even helped me understand things that I never knew with buying a car. Mr. Lear has been very helpful and even joked around a bit which made it easier as well. Other dealerships you may feel pressured or even judged but at carmax and with John they will make you feel good about what you’re doing

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They only got 1 start because it made me pick one to post. This place sold me a lemon, refuse to do anything to fix it. Got a car a year ago, low miles, and refuse to fix it. Told me I can't come to them since they only do cars within 90 days, and customer service sucks. Didn't offer any help whatsoever or options! I would never buy another car or refer anyone here! I've bought cars from buy here pays here's off OBT that ran great for years.

My experience at CarMax in Melbourne, Florida was absolutely terrible. This place operates with shady tactics, unprofessional staff, and misleading practices that makes it one of the worst places to buy a vehicle.
I purchased a vehicle from CarMax in Melbourne, the windshield was cracked which they failed to mention. The car had accidents which were not on the Car Fax report. The car was having engine issues and I called them to get help, I was told “we can’t do anything for you until you’re in the negatives.” I was without a running vehicle for over five months. The lack of honesty and professionalism here is alarming — it feels like a scam wrapped in a corporate logo.
Save yourself the time, stress, money, and frustration — avoid CarMax at all cost. Go somewhere that actually respects customers and values transparency. There are plenty of dealerships that value their customers and operate with integrity. CarMax is NOT one of them.

***Buyers beware***
When purchasing your vehicle from Carmax I advise you to get it checked out by another garage and skip purchasing the Maxcare extended warranty.
Purchased a Dodge Grand Caravan a few years back and noticed issues with the brakes within the return period. Took it back twice and both times we were told they were good and basically it was in our head. About 6 months later took it to my trusted mechanic (who has saved me $$$ in the past) and he informed us the brakes needed to be replaced a long time ago…
On top of that I had to take the van in 3x within 70,000 miles due to the radiator needing replaced, and the engine mounts needing replaced twice in that same timeframe (they need replaced AGAIN).
On top of that, a big reason for the issues seem to be from the parts company the warranty company uses. Max care is through CNA, and they purchase parts from a company called CNK which clearly has pretty faulty parts. They offer a 12-12 but it’s from the day the item was shipped, not replaced so I just missed my 12-12 warranty by a few days due to a technicality on an alternator that was replaced LAST October.
Now I’m paying for a non usable vehicle for the next 2 years that is loaded with issues that should have been addressed/fixed with better parts, and a better warranty.
The only benefit to Carmax was the hassle free car buying, but at this point I’d rather deal with the hassle of car shopping to not get a lemon that is actually backed by their warranty.
