Mr Cortez checked us in and did a wonderful job. He was very courteous and professional when we were road-weary driving up from Miami with our dog. He balanced socializing with guests, checking in new guests, and handling guest issues. Very good first impression, and the main reason I'm writing this review. As for the rooms , they did have a musty smell (moreso than usual even for Florida). I would suggest that the air filters in the AC or vacuums may need to be changed. Other than that they were what one generally would expect.

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in many years as far as cleanliness goes. Room smelled mildewy. Bathroom was old and needed a good scrub. Toilet paper roll was used and almost empty. AC was loud (banging sounds) and difficult to manage the temp in the room. Either too cold or way too warm. Long dark hairs on the towels when I unfolded them. Even found some on my pillow. But the worst part is I found what looked like a live flea in the bed!! Then later had two jump on my white socks. Better than bed bugs I suppose. I know it’s a pet friendly hotel, but I’ve never experienced this before at any pet friendly hotel. Needless to say I did not get much sleep. Slept on top of the sheets and used a T-shirt laid over my pillow to sleep. I did not have high expectations for the hotel but was very much looking forward to one good nights sleep away from the baby and did not get it. Terrible. I had an extremely early flight the next morning and overslept when I finally fell asleep for an hour and could not stop at the front desk to complain for a refund. I cannot believe I paid to sleep at that dump.

The mattress was very old and springy. The coffee machine was broken. They had dove bottles for shampoo and conditioner but it was some overly floral cheap shampoo so I didn’t even try the conditioner. I used the whole dove soap bar and asked for another soap bar and they gave me some backwoods china made no name bar of soap that dried my skin out really bad. Someone smashed into my truck when it was parked so I asked the clerk if someone might have left information as I was talking to them they both were trying to walk away and made me feel like they didn’t want to help me. No microwave so I couldn’t have a decent snack. Walls and ceilings were bubbly with water damage and the metal on all the fixtures were rusty. Every time we used the toilet you had to flush more than once to get anything down.

Do NOT, I repeat DO Not stay here. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s dirty, and the rooms all smell like MOLD. The first room we were assigned, I walked in and walked right back out. The must smell was overwhelming. They upgraded us to a suite. We stayed in there. The smell was much less, but still there. By the middle of the night, I woke up with a burning nose and allergic reaction to what I assume is mold in the room and air conditioning unit. It smells awful. If I didn’t have young kids with me I would have left in the middle of the night and gone anywhere else. I’m mad I paid $205 for a terrible nights sleep and mold exposure. Also, front desk staff is nice but service is bad. There were no sheets available for the pull out sofa bed. I went to request some. 20 mins later, still hadn’t come. I had to go back to the desk and ask for sheets again before we received them. Do not stay here. They need to renovate this hotel and check air quality. I cannot believe a hotel can operate with such poor air quality and mold in rooms. It’s hazardous to everyone’s health.

Outdated hotel that looks like some renovations were attempted but very poorly done. The toilets take 2-3 times to fully flush (old toilets), then kept running and had to take the lid off to fix it. The shower drain backs up. Bathroom floors were dirty with hair, & the body wash soap was empty. I would get my money back from the renovation company if I were them.Positive, their front desk staff was friendly, good location.Guess I need to stick with my Marriott membership.

The staff was nice. However, the overall function of the hotel was not that great. The facility/rooms/building seemed a bit below grade for a Holiday Inn. After checking in, our key cards stopped working and the front desk told that the "system" marked us as a no-show and turned the keys off. We received a text message about housekeeping during the stay, which I replied yes. There was NO regular housekeeping of the rooms. NONE! The front desk requested guests ask for housekeeping services the night prior. Regardless if this was done, we still did not receive any housekeeping! We couldn't even get a simple request of trash emptied and fresh towels. We always needed to go to the front desk for everything. The rate for we paid for this hotel was definitely overpriced for the service/value we received. I'm honestly surprised they can maintain the Holiday Inn brand in the condition/service in which they deliver. I would not recommend staying here!Rooms: The rooms appeared out of date. The bathroom was severely in need of updating. The TV was an off the shelf smart TV that wouldn't connect as it needed wifi. The outlets surrounding the bed were not working. The windows were filthy.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant in the lobby for breakfast that wasn't bad, but it was very slow. There is also a bar. The bartender was clueless on how to run a bar. She was confusing drinks on people's tabs. The POS system was not even set up for the bar as the bartender had to manually enter prices of every drink. There are restaurants close by for options.

My stay was less than adequate and I would caution anyone from this IHG hotels.Issues were:In hotel restaurant poor quality food, expensive and the pasta dish floated in oil.Upon arrival I received a text from IHG if I wished daily housekeeping and I responded yes. By day 3 there still had been zero service. I requested this service in the morning about 10 and the desk clerk instructed the housekeeping manager that my room needed attention. He assured me that it would be taken care of. Arriving back to my room, there was no service by 5 pm. I went down and requested towels.According to the app this room had both a frig and microwave. There was a frig but when I asked at the desk about the microwave I was told that there was just a community one next to the ice maker. I showed them the app so the desk clerk called the manager who was gracious and gave me a daily discount on the room cost.Upon check out I ask the desk clerk to email my receipt which he said he would. That never happened.Today I have been on the phone via chat as there is definitely a policy to not speak to a human in this organization. I have been on the chat for over 30 minutes and now the rep has to call the motel in Melbourne. It is apparent that the corporation for IHG does not know what their individual hotels have and seemingly do not care. The hotel in Melbourne also needs some updating as it shows great wear and tear. The one positive note is the staff seemed friendly but they are hampered by upper management.

I am writing this from the lobby as my room is not ready. I called this morning around 8am to ensure I had the correct hotel and address as booking was through my job. After asking for my name and move-in/out dates I was told I was booked with this hotel. I told the receptionist “great” and that I was on my way. Upon arriving, after a 2.5 hour drive, I was told my room was not ready. I arrive around 11:30am. My room is still not ready at 2pm. My complaint is the horrible communication between the guests and obviously the team. If the man I spoke with this morning advised me to head in later as the room wasn’t ready I wouldn’t be sitting here waiting. If the rooms weren’t ready, how did the worker not know and stop me from driving 2.5 hours to sit in the lobby for almost 3 hours. I will rate the room once I get one.

My friends and I did a resort pass at the Holiday Inn Melbourne while we were waiting for our airport shuttle to the Orlando airport. Getting checked in at the front desk was a hassle because it was noisy and the front desk clerk could not hear me very well. I had to repeat my name and information several times to the front desk clerk because she could not hear me due to the background noise. Once we did get checked in, we went to hang out at the pool area in the back, and we stored our luggage in the guest room. The pool area was very nice and clean, and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. We also hung out at the lobby and watched TV. We grabbed lunch at a local Wendy's, and some of us ordered Door dash at a nearby Thai restaurant. The hotel staff were very professional and helpful when we asked questions about nearby places for lunch. The hotel is very nice and the guest room was nice and looked accommodating. I would be comfortable and happy staying as a guest in this hotel. It is in a good location and there are places nearby to eat for dinner. I enjoyed hanging out at the hotel for my resort pass, and if I were in FL again for a cruise , I would come back here to hang out again by the pool for another resort pass. Despite the hassle at the front desk checking in, it was a pleasant experience and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Melbourne, FL.

The front staff were the best I have ever seen before. They were very friendly as well as professional. We will stay here again. The breakfast was good but would have been nice to have the same free breakfast that other hotels have.

Good hotel for the cost. I found my room to be clean and well kept. Close to my business location so it was convenient. The front desk guy was great. Took me too long to write this review so I have forgotten his name now. Just a gentle giant. He really was accommodating and actually took the time to get me fresh coffee from a real coffee pot even though he doesn't drink coffee. It was soo much better than the a typical hotel room's coffee.

Nice, friendly and centrally located. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy access to highway and other attractions. Only disadvantage is that there is no breakfast included!.
