My Grandson goes to La Petite and they are amazing with him! He loves playing with all his friends and doing cute school activities. They give very detailed reports about what he does throughout the day and even what he eats. I also love that you can check in and see your baby with the video cameras whenever you want. Wonderful and loving staff! Would highly recommend!!!

My granddaughter was in the three-year-old class with Abigail Wolff. When I met her, she seemed very offputting and acted as if she just didn’t want to be there. Later that day, I viewed the cameras in the classroom. I saw my granddaughter, crying and trying to get her attention. Abigail continue to ignore her. Finally, my granddaughter walked up to Abigail, on her left side facing her, crying. Abigail picked my granddaughter up forcefully by her two little arms and pivoted her little body to the front of her and put her to the ground. At that point, she pushed her away from her, obviously annoyed. My granddaughter then walked backwards away from the teacher and cowered in the corner, crying. She would not take her eyes off of the teacher out of fear, I could see it in her eyes and her demeanor. when this was brought to the attention of the Director, the only thing that happened to Abigail was that she had to be retrained, but she will continue to be in the classroom while she’s getting this training. This is completely unacceptable. After that, my granddaughter was moved to another teachers room, but because of her experience, she refused to eat, and peed her pants every day for the several days she was in the new teachers class. At that point her parents took her out of the school. My daughter has asked repeatedly to see the video and they continue to put her off. To date, she still has not been given the chance to view the video. Nor has the teacher apologized to my granddaughter or her parents, as we were told she would. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE.

My child started on a Monday and I had to withdraw her two days later. I watched the cameras you'd be surprised at what you find. I witnessed on camera a teacher smack the table in front of a child's face to get his attention. The teacher was aggressive with my daughter by forcing her to sit down. The last straw was when the children were getting ready for nap time my daughter laid down on her cot and the teacher threw her blanket over her face. From the moment my husband and I walked in I felt like my child was a burden to them and they didn't show any type of welcoming signs. They sell you a dream but in all reality, your child is just another source of income. Parents go with your intuition if it doesn't feel right run the other way.

I have nothing but great things to say about La petite academy. My daughter has been going there since she was 2 months old. She has grown and learned so much there. She loves going to school and loves all her instructors. ?

We have three children attending and are quite happy with our experience thus far. Each of our teachers show a lot of care and concern for the children's well-being and are dedicated to their development and safety. The staff is always very friendly to us at drop-off and pickup and our children really enjoy spending their time at the school.

This place will sell you what every parent wants to hear, when searching for a good and trustworthy daycare. Once there, you will find that some teachers are not properly trained to handle kids and the place is under staffed. This is a place that cares only about your MONEY, not about teaching kids or making this an enjoyable experience. If you want your child to be potty trained, well fed and well taken care of, find any other place but this one. To make the matter worse, it seems that the upper management does not care about the teacher / children ratio per class and the long effects on these children. Run from this place and register your child at Viera Children's Academy where your kids are treated like children and not like a source of income.

My sons have been attending La Petite since the summer of 2011. They are school-agers, attending in the afternoons, and enjoy the programs provided, as well as the ability to connect with friends that attend other schools during the day. There has been quite a bit of teacher and management turnover at the facility since we began attending, which can be stressful on the kids. The value for the money is good, though, because there are fewer children than in a traditional school Educare environment, and there is an after school snack provided. It is also very convenient that the facility provides transportation, and homework time is provided for the children to complete their assignments. The summer program is excellent.

They have a really mean teacher who threw my sons toy away. Her name is Kristen C.They have "Show and Tell" on Friday and on 5/9, he brought his favorite Lightening McQueen mini car. When I went to pick him up that day, he didn't have his toy when he got in my car. He claimed that Ms. Kristen had thrown it away and that it was in the dumpster. I wasn't sure what to do so I went back to school hoping to find it. I searched everywhere but I could not find anywhere. Went back to the car and told him that I could not find it, but he insisted that Ms. Kristen had thrown it away and it is in the dumpster, so I decided to look for it in the dumpster. I did it because I trusted him. And yes, it was in one of the garbage bags in the dumpster!! I told the school director about it and left the school. Apparently she threw it away in front of him because he didn't take a nap. I later found out that 2 of his friends saw her throwing my son's toy away. The following week, around Thursday, she had already talked to the management and she apologized to us when we went to pick up our son. She said "It must have rolled off the table by itself.", which was totally unbelievable. And that same day, in the evening, my son told me "the toy rolled off the table by itself" and "taught" me and my husband what "rolled off the table by itself" mean! Yes, she had cunningly told him that "it rolled off the table by itself"!!One of the classmates told the school director that he had seen Ms. Kristen throwing it away. We also had a long conversation with the school director about it. However Ms. Kristen never admitted having thrown it away and kept on lying about it. She even told my son that he was a liar and that she didn't want him to come back to school ever again. Wow!! Isn't it a verbal abuse??She also didn't let my son go to the bathroom at nap time so he had to wet himself, and it happened 2 days in a row. When I asked her what had happened, she said "Maybe he enjoys peeing himself"! Nasty!! That was before she threw his toy away, so I thought that she was a bit weird, but I just shrugged it off.The school knows everything inc. other issues that she had been involved, but she is still there.Other thing that I was surprised about the school was that the teachers do not let kids wash their hands but use hand sanitizer after they come in from outside during the school hours. I had always told my son to wash his hands whenever he came back in from outside, but several times he said "the teacher didn't let me wash my hands, she gave me a hand sanitizer." Every time I had asked teachers about washing hands, they always said "kids wash hands after coming back from outside.", but it was not true. Hand sanitizer is OK if their hands are not covered in dirt, but it does not remove dirt. I had to keep telling him that whatever the teacher said, he had to wash his hands. There are also so many cockroaches all over the school! Some are alive walking around in the classroom, some are dead. I was horrified to see lots of roaches trapped behind the refrigerator in the kitchen! I had never seen so many trapped roaches before! I also once found a roach leg in my son's cubby too! Yike! In the past, when kids had found a roach on its back in the classroom, the then teacher shouted at the kids "Get rid of it!!". Hey Miss! That is your job!!Teachers turnover rates are high too. They also lost my son's latest school physical that I had given them 2 months before we left. They had a nerve to give back his old school physical that expired in 2012, and just played innocent saying "That was the only thing that we had". Apparently other parents had theirs lost too. They should know that if they pile up the documents without organizing it, they get easily lost!Oh, they had a free tuition sweepstakes about a year ago, for the parents who wrote a review on Google, and I think that the good reviews were because of that.At

All 3 of my kids have gone to this La Petite and they all love it. The teachers and front office staff are very friendly and have a great rapport with each child and adult that walks in the door. I am able to come a sit with my child, visit if I want to and speak about any concerns or questions freely. The learning environment is top notch. My son comes home and raves about his day and what he has learned. I could have taken my youngest elsewhere that might have been cheaper but I would lose quality of facility and teachers and that wasn't worth it.

La Petite Academy is one of the very few daycare centers that offers flexible hours and provides balanced meals that are freshly cooked daily. The classrooms are well-equipped, and the teacher-student ratio is low. The Director Ms Jill, the Assistant Director Miss Lauren and the teachers are very knowledgeable and patient in interacting with the parents and the kids. They are very understanding, and they always try their best to accommodate the parents' requests or the kids' needs. It's a great place for busy parents to send their kids there and have a peace of mind. Both of my kids have gained a lot from these wonderful teachers. They enjoy their learning experiences through fun activities, arts & crafts, singing and dancing. Miss Victoria, early pre-school teacher, is very involved in her students' developments. When my daughter was in her 2-year-old class, she also developed her various skills dramatically from Ms Tanya, Ms Jennifer, and Ms Sarah. My toddler son is speaking over 40 words already. He is following instructions, and he is starting to learn colors and alphabets already! Thanks to Miss Kendall and Miss Katherine! Miss Katherine is a very talented teacher! When my son was in the infant and transition room, I was very satisfied with the services that the teachers provided as well.I love their teacher-parent conference. The detailed evaluation allows me to understand the growth of my kids even more. It would be a good idea for the school to conduct this type of communication more often.I am not sure about the other La Petite Academy locations, but I highly recommend this particular La Petite in Viera, FL.
