I have been working with Katie Jackson Stoltz for two years now. She has helped walk me through so many challenges helping my widowed mom navigate applying for, and finally receiving, her Spousal Veterans Benefit which is making such a tremendous difference in her life. Way over charged for filing 3 one page, fill in the blank documents with brevard county clerk of courts to settle my parents trust. I only had 3 things to settle in the trust. Home, boat and house
I was told the 250.00 fee was to prepare and file 3 1 page documents. Ended up being charged $1,052.50. The incorrect contract was provided for me to sign by person(s) they let go due to issues with other customers. Glad others had better results than me. Guess they did not have the same person(s) handling their file.

To start, navigating the aging of a loved one, especially one that needs around the clock care, including assistance affording it, is a very stressful and emotional experience.
I recently went through the experience of both of my parents needing to enter long term care within 4 months of one another, with both needing Medicaid financial assistance to afford the care that they needed.
This is why I highly recommend hiring an elder law firm to assist, notably the Law Offices of Amy B Van Fossen.
Ms. Van Fossen’s office, notably attorney Katie Stolz and Public Benefits Specialist Kathy Smeltz, guided, advised, and supported me and my family through the entire end-to-end process of transitioning my parents from independent living to long term care. This included full, detailed leadership through the Medicaid application and approval process - a process that is both incredibly complex and incredibly difficult to navigate.
Both Katie and Kathy are subject matter experts who broke that process down into bite-sized pieces, clearly explaining what was happening, why it was happening, what was needed at various times (documentation; patience!), and exactly what was needed from me as the family member to ensure a successful outcome for my parents.
Both Katie and Kathy were available at seemingly all times to answer any and all questions, no matter how large or small, providing education and, again, support as we proceeded.
The end result was the blessing of my parents being able to receive the care that they need in the twilight years of their lives.
I would not have been able to navigate this process on my own and am grateful for people like Katie and Kathy who work tirelessly to assist others through these transitions. I highly recommend them, and the entire team I encountered at Amy B Van Fossen’s office, for elder care advice and support.

I attended a free seminar first and then had a private meeting with Amy who answered all my questions and had many of her own to complete my package. They sent me all the preliminary copies and I reviewed them and asked a few more questions. I then met with Jennifer and signed everything.
