About Melbourne Makerspace
Melbourne Makerspace is a vibrant community hub that offers a wide range of tools and equipment for creative projects. It is well-staffed and provides members with access to 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, pottery, and metalworking equipment. Many users appreciate the supportive atmosphere, where members share their expertise and help each other with various projects. The space is celebrated for its open houses, which are held almost every day, allowing newcomers to explore the facilities and learn about different crafts like clay work, sewing, and embroidery. Although a monthly membership fee of $60 grants 24/7 access, many believe that the abundance of tools and materials makes it worth the investment, especially for those without personal equipment. Visitors often describe the Makerspace as a hidden gem, with a welcoming environment that fosters creativity and collaboration. Guided tours are available, and many users have discovered new hobbies and skills through the classes offered. Overall, Melbourne Makerspace is regarded as an amazing resource for anyone looking to express their creativity and engage in hands-on projects, making it a valuable asset to the community.

They’ve got all the shop equipment you’d ever need, for $60/month it’s very worth it

Amazing place. I was given a tour by Mike today and saw all of the various areas where people work on things. The place is a literal gift to the community and should be celebrated. Mike is a brilliant engineer and very generous with his time. I can't say enough good things about it. I feel like I discovered a secret.
