Our business has always relied on Northern Tool for equipment and supplies — until now. We purchased a $400 Stihl chainsaw that did not function properly from day one. It spent more than a month in your repair department immediately after purchase, and we received it back three times with the same starting issue completely unresolved.
Throughout the entire warranty period, the saw never worked properly, yet the problem was never fixed. Now that the one-year warranty has expired, we have been told there is nothing Northern Tool can do — leaving us stuck with a brand-new chainsaw that barely has any use on it, still with its original chain.
From our perspective, the repeated delays and lack of resolution allowed the warranty to run out rather than the issue being corrected. Management declined to offer any assistance, and we were told that Northern Tool no longer even has a mechanic available.
The handling of this situation has been unacceptable and has cost you a previously loyal customer.

Always liked northern tool, my business used them frequently for random things. NOT anymore. we bought a $400 stihl chain saw there that spent over a month in their shop IMEDIATLEY after purchase, it was given back 3 times with the same issue (not starting). Each event leaving us with out this particular saw for extensive time. Eventually the 1 year warranty ran out and they were lucky enough to get a way with not having to make it right. Now I’m stuck with a BRAND NEW SAW that spent its whole year having the same issue it did the day I walked out of the store with it. They drug it on as long as they could so that it would reach its one year warranty. This saw is so new and unused the chain is still the original chain I bought with the saw. I tried speaking with managers, they weren’t willing to work with me in any way. northern tool also doesn’t even have a mechanic now, according to the managers.

Staff is very helpful. There was a broken piece in a trailer kit we bought, and the manager went out of the way to help us out. Very satisfied

do not purchase anything with a motor warranty that they offered to repair they do not offer it anymore. If you paid for this, they will not honor it other than making. You drive an hour and a half away to Orlando.. More corporate greed

I took my lawnmower in to have a problem checked out. It turns out that there was nothing wrong with the mower. They refunded my $60 diagnostic charge no questions asked. It was a pleasure doing business with them.
