Amber and Kathy were very helpful in regards to refinancing my car. They were very patient and kind, I have never done something like this before I am still very young and big things like this for me can be intimidating/scary for the first time, but they were patient with helping and explaining everything through each step. They had to call and sort things out with my loan and I hate having to make extra work for people but they didn’t make me feel like a bother at all! Thank you ladies for being so kind and attentive to me today!
I don’t write google reviews so that should speak volumes enough.

General banking has been fine, but with life changes hitting me and being a single dad and partner just financing another car only to have transmission go out after a few months, I had to use my credit card resources to get another car fast. The interest was killing me and was spinning wheels with that debt. I applied for a debt consolidation loan of only $10k to get my CC paid off and closed and was declined. What’s the purpose of a “community” credit union when you can’t help your own community? I ended up getting approved for this loan at another bank with low interest and all my credit cards are paid off and I’m finally on an up swing in my financial outlook. 1 star because when I really was looking for help and told them I am reaching out as if it’s a life line and I have good credit, they denied me. My mental health from that was already low and that pushed me even lower. I will be closing up and moving to another credit union locally that actually helps its community.

Unprofessional, terribly long wait times, and clunky app/website. Been a member since 2017, and it's just gotten worse and worse. Save yourself the hassle and headache; SCCU is completely out of touch and the recent 'upgrades' have done nothing but cause problems. Go somewhere that actually values your business.

Telephone Customer Service sucks. It is almost impossible to reach Customer Service on the telephone. You call the number and you have to wade through minutes of computer menus listening to your bank balances and a variety of other information you don't want. Then you get put on hold for many more minutes waiting until you get tired waiting and just hang up. The worst.

Against my better judgment, I opened a joint checking account with my husband here after being a member for several years.
Big mistake.
It was a nightmare even opening the account. I was told 3 different things by 3 different people in the process and it took multiple calls and visits to the branch to get the account opened with both of us on it and it functioning properly.
Several months later, I find out there is a $5,000 limit for deposits and any checks above that you 1. cannot deposit through mobile, and 2. if you deposit it at all, there is a 5+ business day hold. The best part: only $500 is initially released of any check that is above $5,000. If the check was $5,000 or less they would release the full amount, so why not release $5,000 of any check above that amount? It makes no sense to me.
Other banks' hold times are much shorter, and they release higher amounts. (For example, one of my online accounts with another bank, the deposit limit is $100,000 so $5,000 is ridiculous to me.)
Mind you, the checks I am referring to being held 5-8 days are not personal checks. They are checks from insurance companies. There is no reason it should take so long to verify.
The customer service rep I spoke to this morning about a $25,000+ insurance check in particular had an attitude immediately and couldn't answer my question about why only $500 was released of a $25,000+ check. I received an email this morning that it is being held until the 20th despite it being deposited first thing in the morning on the 12th. Apparently, if checks are deposited through the ATM processing is even longer because they only pull the checks from the ATM every few days according to the customer service rep.
Well, for the record, the banking hours are wrong on Google, which is why we deposited this particular check through ATM. We got there at 8am on Monday morning when Google says the bank opens and the branch was still closed. I guess we should've waited an hour for the branch to actually open and deposited with a teller and we would have the money several days sooner...
I'm not sure why deposits wouldn't be pulled from the ATMs first thing Monday morning after the weekend, but nothing about this bank makes sense to me.
The customer service isn't great, online banking is terrible, and hold / processing times are so long compared to other banks.
I think we will be taking our joint account elsewhere.

The car loan is just one bad thing 1 have to say about them. But SCCU is HORRIBLE on all fronts from online banking, to bill pay, to false offer on loans that they like to rescind frequently. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BANK! They are definitely not the NASA of banks, even though their ridiculous name might falsely to believe otherwise.

Space coast Credit Union has the worst telephone answering service. I can hardly ever get to talk to a reprehensive. I can never navigate through their answering service.

I talked and explained why I am applying for loan to Tommy Zapata yesterday. He did not understand that I have more investment and no debt. He rejected my application. He was upset why and how accumulated more savings. Please put people in loan dep that are educated and have more understanding of borrowing and being polite to people.

my family and I have been members for quite some times now and at least every week we have issues with them. For one, the app never works especially when you need to check your account. Second, it takes all day to get ahold of someone. third, the customer service is awful because the whole time it's " I'm gonna put you on hold" or they hang up the phone. fourth, they always mess up transactions like putting your money into the wrong account. fifth, they block your card WITHOUT INFORMING YOU Which is great that they do it to protect you from fraud but not informing the customer that you put a block on the card is not good customer service. I could go on and on about the issues of this bank but it's just not worth it!! Never bank through space coast credit union!!! We've never had issues paying bills on time until banking with them!! Do your self a favor and switch banks!!

Avoid this institution like the plague. It took months of back and forth to secure a lease buyout loan for our car. Despite terrible communication and vague information about a changing interest rate, we pushed ahead to just get it over with. Mind you, they say their scope of operation includes Hillsborough County, and they've had our address for TWO MONTHS now. It's the final step of the process and we are set to sign the dotted line, and they inform us the day of that it needs to happen in person, and the closest branch to me is TWO AND A HALF HOURS AWAY. Oh, and the kicker is that they're only open M-F from 9am-3pm. Its 2023, when there are mobile notaries, fax machines, email, online signatures, etc. But this company insists on living in 2003. Trust these reviews and look elsewhere.
