I have had car loans for over 40 years and have financed at least 20 cars in my life and this is by far the worst bank I have ever done business with
I would be embarrassed being called a credit union ,,,, going to refinance my loan with a other bank

Trying to reach a human here is nearly impossible. If you can't find the info on the web page, you can call and listen to on hold music and hear how everything is on the website. If you *do* reach a human it'll be a bottom tier call center drone that can't dump your call fast enough. Oh, and don't bother downloading the app, it's garbage.

What a blessing it is that this Credit Union never reached out to me. I needed to open a new account to move some money to avoid exceeding FDIC limits at my current CU, and in talking to my neighbor she said she had an account with SCCU and liked them. So Thursday morning, 5/1/25, I logged on and completed the lengthy application process and submitted it. The attached picture is the response I got following submission. After not hearing from them after 48 hours, I decided to go online and check their reviews, and man did I dodge a bullet! So many negative reviews! It’s actually my fault for listening to my neighbor rather than doing my research, so I’ll take responsibility for that. But if you’re a bank and you have someone wanting to deposit a large sum of money you should probably follow-up and do what you say you’re going to do. It’s been 5 days now, and it’s clear they are not going to respond, and after reading the reviews I consider myself lucky! I’d give zero stars if I could.

I'm very disspointed in the financial services this credit union provides, they keep denying my wire transfers with no real explanation and after several attempts security blocked my account. This is unacceptable, I'm taking my business elsewhere and I advice prospect customers who value their time and money to avoid using Space Coast Credit Union at all costs.

Worse bank I’ve ever dealt with. Randomly cancels your card and sends new one without your request. *** Locks your money *** literally and if it’s after hours you’re sol.
App is atrocious the support doesn’t even exist.
Honestly they should be shut down complete garbage

If you like online services for a financial institution, THINK TWICE ABOUT USING Space Coast. This "institution" (not a real credit union) MUST be the most horrible for providing services to their customers. I have been with other small Credit Unions before and even the smallest of those have services FAR BETTER than the Space Coast "institution". This can only be because this institution refuses to pay for good services for their customers. Even the basic services they have are riddled with weaknesses and missing functions

Corporate is incompetent, they don’t respond or do anything until you call them repeatedly to make your request and provide the documents multiple times, no concern for customer service whatsoever. Don’t bank here.

Telephone Customer Service sucks. It is almost impossible to reach Customer Service on the telephone. You call the number and you have to wade through minutes of computer menus listening to your bank balances and a variety of other information you don't want. Then you get put on hold for many more minutes waiting until you get tired waiting and just hang up. The worst.

The staff is friendly, but the services to help build credit is null! They don’t provide credit cards or with an insurance deposit, we don’t lend, they don’t lend for a car if you’re not a citizen! It’s no use being a resident! There are ATMs in various parts in Melbourne, most of them remain dirty! They charge feet for lack of funds in case of immediate overdraft! And they don’t send notice! The credit union without to help you grow! In business and personal and not in that they are offline!

The car loan is just one bad thing 1 have to say about them. But SCCU is HORRIBLE on all fronts from online banking, to bill pay, to false offer on loans that they like to rescind frequently. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BANK! They are definitely not the NASA of banks, even though their ridiculous name might falsely to believe otherwise.

Space coast Credit Union has the worst telephone answering service. I can hardly ever get to talk to a reprehensive. I can never navigate through their answering service.

Everybody there is so nice and helpful. I had a problem today from a mistake a bank representative made with on line banking and the girls at the branch explained everything to me. It ended up just being a misunderstanding but because they really knew their job, they were able to calm me down and explain everything so I could better understand..
