If you like online services for a financial institution, THINK TWICE ABOUT USING Space Coast. This "institution" (not a real credit union) MUST be the most horrible for providing services to their customers. I have been with other small Credit Unions before and even the smallest of those have services FAR BETTER than the Space Coast "institution". This can only be because this institution refuses to pay for good services for their customers. Even the basic services they have are riddled with weaknesses and missing functions

Corporate is incompetent, they don’t respond or do anything until you call them repeatedly to make your request and provide the documents multiple times, no concern for customer service whatsoever. Don’t bank here.

Telephone Customer Service sucks. It is almost impossible to reach Customer Service on the telephone. You call the number and you have to wade through minutes of computer menus listening to your bank balances and a variety of other information you don't want. Then you get put on hold for many more minutes waiting until you get tired waiting and just hang up. The worst.

The car loan is just one bad thing 1 have to say about them. But SCCU is HORRIBLE on all fronts from online banking, to bill pay, to false offer on loans that they like to rescind frequently. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BANK! They are definitely not the NASA of banks, even though their ridiculous name might falsely to believe otherwise.

Space coast Credit Union has the worst telephone answering service. I can hardly ever get to talk to a reprehensive. I can never navigate through their answering service.

Everybody there is so nice and helpful. I had a problem today from a mistake a bank representative made with on line banking and the girls at the branch explained everything to me. It ended up just being a misunderstanding but because they really knew their job, they were able to calm me down and explain everything so I could better understand..

I talked and explained why I am applying for loan to Tommy Zapata yesterday. He did not understand that I have more investment and no debt. He rejected my application. He was upset why and how accumulated more savings. Please put people in loan dep that are educated and have more understanding of borrowing and being polite to people.

my family and I have been members for quite some times now and at least every week we have issues with them. For one, the app never works especially when you need to check your account. Second, it takes all day to get ahold of someone. third, the customer service is awful because the whole time it's " I'm gonna put you on hold" or they hang up the phone. fourth, they always mess up transactions like putting your money into the wrong account. fifth, they block your card WITHOUT INFORMING YOU Which is great that they do it to protect you from fraud but not informing the customer that you put a block on the card is not good customer service. I could go on and on about the issues of this bank but it's just not worth it!! Never bank through space coast credit union!!! We've never had issues paying bills on time until banking with them!! Do your self a favor and switch banks!!

Avoid this institution like the plague. It took months of back and forth to secure a lease buyout loan for our car. Despite terrible communication and vague information about a changing interest rate, we pushed ahead to just get it over with. Mind you, they say their scope of operation includes Hillsborough County, and they've had our address for TWO MONTHS now. It's the final step of the process and we are set to sign the dotted line, and they inform us the day of that it needs to happen in person, and the closest branch to me is TWO AND A HALF HOURS AWAY. Oh, and the kicker is that they're only open M-F from 9am-3pm. Its 2023, when there are mobile notaries, fax machines, email, online signatures, etc. But this company insists on living in 2003. Trust these reviews and look elsewhere.

I’ve had an awful experience trying to open an account with them. I requested to open an account on Sunday, got an email that my application was approved and my card is being shipped. I never got a separate email with my member number so I called. They then basically accused me of fraud and said I would need to go in to a branch to prove my identity and show bank statements with the deposits to start the account going through. I took off of work and did so, and was told I would have to wait until Friday for “Wells Fargo to respond” and all they could do was upload my ID to the application. I was confused because according to the email I was already approved so why would there still be an application. I asked if someone would call me on Friday and was told I could come back in to a branch. I was also told I could not rescind the application and get my money back as I will be going elsewhere. This whole process has been incredibly inconvenient just to open a checking and savings account, and I feel as though I was treated like my business does not matter to them.

The staff is friendly, but the services to help build credit is null! They don’t provide credit cards or with an insurance deposit, we don’t lend, they don’t lend for a car if you’re not a citizen! It’s no use being a resident! There are ATMs in various parts in Melbourne, most of them remain dirty! They charge feet for lack of funds in case of immediate overdraft! And they don’t send notice! The credit union without to help you grow! In business and personal and not in that they are offline!

I paid off the auto loan only to have them add another month of interest AFTER receiving my pay-off. Really scammy... and worrisome of banks considering today's banking climate. I wouldn't trust them with any banking needs.

I have had this account for years but only recently started using it because I want to get away from Wells Fargo. This is what I have learned.I give SCCU 3 stars because of lack of modern security. So, if they think there is something funny is going on with yiour account they ask you some challenge questions. I guess they would do that if a new browser tried to log in? Who knows... They do not have 2 factor authentication for logging in on the web, that is not something to be cheaping out on. Also, they let my web browser save my user name and password. Thats not secure for a bank.Their phone app does use face recognition, thats pretty secure. The phone app has all the basic features: check deposit, account access, send/transfer money, Zelle and so forth. The phone app can be sluggish, it looks like it loads HTML pages, not sure if that is super secure. I'm sure that communication between the app and the bank is encrypted (it would be terrible if it wasn't) but I would rather have a self contained application.The customer service has been great, no complaint about that.Maybe I should give it 2 stars due to lack of up to date security?Update: Going with Launch Credit Union, Modern security (2FA) and better phone app.
