I love T.J. Maxx. I love HomeGoods. But this specific location is a complete nightmare. I drive 27 minutes to visit the other HomeGoods in West Melbourne just to avoid this place, even though this one is 6 minutes from my home. Every time I go here, I am waiting in line for at least 35 minutes but usually longer. To add insult to injury, every time you get to the front, they ask you how you're doing. And every time, I say " I was doing fine but I just waited 40 minutes in line to buy five things." And every time, they apologize. But they are not sorry. If they were really sorry, this wouldn't be happening every single visit. You can go on a Wednesday morning or on Monday afternoon during your lunch break. It doesn't have to be on a weekend and you're still going to wait forever in line. Plus, there are always three or four people standing at the counter behind the register separating returns. And then there are people wandering around the store organizing things. But there are only three cashiers. Even on a Saturday evening.Mind you, there's one cash register line for two stores. That means that if these stores were not combined, there would be one cashier at the T.J. Maxx counter and two cashiers at the HomeGoods counter. Either way, there are not enough staff on the register to cover this store combination. And it's every time. Not just once in a while.I have complained. I have heard other people complain directly to staff members. I've heard staff members get chewed out by customers and normally I'm against this because I know it's not necessarily the cashier's fault, but this specific location just does not care about the happiness level of their customers, so I can't blame people for getting aggravated. There are so many people who just put their stuff down in the aisle and leave the store because they don't want to wait. I can only imagine how many sales they lose when all they have to do is put one or two more people on register. The staff is in the store, they're just doing returns and wandering about. So short staffing is not the actual issue here, it's a management issue or a delegation of tasks issue. I don't know but it's an absolute MESS and not worth a visit.I'm sure that corporate doesn't know that this is going on because even corporate has some sort of standards, especially when that means that they're losing sales over something that is a quick fix. It's sad how many items are abandoned in the aisle on the way to the register because people are just not going to wait 30 minutes to purchase items.

This store has a huge variety of very lovely home furnishings. The store is nicely organized and it's easy to view all of the merchandise. There's so much in there I can't even list it all, lamps, wall decor, rugs, huge area rugs, bathroom furnishings, toys, clothing, bedding, curtains artificial plants, vases, mirrors, picture frames, just everything you can imagine for your home, Even chairs, sofas, consoles, wall units, nightstands, everything. So many different things to choose from. You could spend hours in there.

Huge massive stores connected. Sold out of most things such as twin size sheets and more. Long lines to Cashier.. Couldn't find just what I was looking for but it is a huge place.

The lines at this store are longer then disney. Its madness 3-4 registers open for hundreds of people. Maybe they could entire into 2023 and implement self checkout or more efficient processes for enhancing customer service/ experience. Truly unexceptable to stand in line for an hour just to check out. Do better TJ Maxx

I love Homegoods, but I was very disappointed with the experience I had today.I needed to exchange a deep dutch oven, which was a birthday gift, for a braiser, which is much more shallow. The Homegoods near me did not have one, so I called the Viera store to see if they had a braiser. The employee I spoke with said they did have one, and I confirmed with her that it was a braiser. It was 7:00 pm and the store was a half hour away, but when requested, the employee said they could not hold it until tomorrow morning! So, I drove to Viera and waited in the long line, only to have her present me with a dutch oven and two small pots. When I told her that those were not braisers, she just walked away. At least the cashier apologized on her behalf.I plan to return the dutch oven, but saw online that because it was paid for with a debit card, it would have to be credited back to that debit card. It was a gift to me and I have the receipt, but cannot return it for cash to buy the braiser elsewhere! It had been four days since the purchase and the money already cleared from the bank. This is ridiculous!Very disappointed in Homegoods and will ask my family to never purchase gifts for me from Homegoods again. In addition, I will have to always go to the store and not ask for assistance over the phone, because I cannot be sure that the employee will understand.

I have such a love hate with this place! The line always feels wrapped around the building but they get through it pretty quickly! I have put everything back and left because of the line... some days I just don't have it in me.

This store has gone downhill heavily in the past few years. Went shopping a few days ago and spent around 20 minutes in line to purchase two things. Today, I went in to do a return and spent literally over 30 minutes in line. The line was wrapped around and backed up past the jewelry counter. This is unacceptable. Once? I can understand. But this should not be a regular occurrence. This is something I’ve noticed over the last couple years but it hasn’t gotten this bad until recently. Management must just not be paying attention, because when I worked in retail if the line got that long, not only would all managers hop on cash registers but they would also call everyone available from the floor to help. There’s employees just walking around the store putting clothes back when the line is that long. That’s not a priority with a line that long. Another thing to note is that they fill both sides, but especially homegoods with just an astronomical amount of stuff. There’s just…. Stuff everywhere. It’s an overwhelming, messy, and stressful shopping environment. It’s honestly hard to even get around, especially if god forbid you have a cart or stroller you’re pushing around. I just can’t justify shopping here anymore, hoping management can get better at getting the line down and displaying merchandise in a way that actually makes you want to shop and not leave asap and take an Xanax.

The manager was very kind to accommodate my return. I had bought a sugar-free syrup and didn't open it for a few months. And even though the code was no longer in their system, they were kind enough to let me return it and try another product. The original one was bitter and not consumable anymore. I appreciate their customer service very much.
