I really wish people stop asking me about this center unless they’re ready to hear what’s real. It’s not what they smile in your face and say. Someone should actually hear the truth. I will be writing my book about it along with a few other women whom lived this nightmare.

Watch out there online counseling sessions are not private this company is unethical and should be sued. My counselor did not even know that are sessions were not private. They should be sued. I am posting this under a friend's acct bc I do not want them to know that they are busted. The director of counseling just called me after I've been begging for someone to call me to make a counseling appt today and the director of counseling told me she didn't want me to go there anymore even after I told her that illegal activity has been going on that someone has been in on my counseling sessions illegally besides me and my counselor. And the director does not care at all. So I am assuming the director is in on the illegal activity. Everyone needs to know the truth about what is going on here w the director of counseling trying to help take advantage of a mentally disabled person.

These women saved my life! I was able to be heard for the first time in my whole life. They were so encouraging that I left my abusive ex and was able to actually move on. They offer so much help and services. They allow you to realize that you are valid in your feelings and you can truly confide in these women! Superheroes! No amount of money can be enough for what these women do for the community.

This place abuses its employees. How can you provide services for Domestic Violence and Victims of Crime, when you are victimizing employees? They promote the exact behavior they claim to help people with. The counselors are great- but they are abused. They constantly change because no one wants to stay here. It is the definition of toxic. They do not want clients in the building, its all about telehealth from a phone in a car someplace. They won't collaborate with victim services (which is an AMAZING department). How effective can you be when you are supposed to help victims and you are being abused yourself? Sad. The director of counseling does not care about clients. You are a number. She wants you as a number on a report that makes her look good when in reality she couldn't care less about anyone but herself.Counselors have heart. They're great people, but they turnover fast because the environment like being in a toxic relationship with a narcissist and continually being hit, degraded, and mocked everyday simply for caring about clients. Sadly, the services you could be getting are discouraged and are withheld for the almighty dollar. Consider this when seeking good services. How well can someone provide a service for you, that they do not believe in?

I was provided with free group counseling on a weekly basis for about two years. The group was specifically focused on a type of trauma I survived as a child. The group members, leader and curriculum helped me understand so much about my family dynamics and how the abuse was allowed to continue for a decade. I have fewer nightmares. I have developed the courage to distance myself from certain family members, to set boundaries and enforce them, to release feelings of shame and guilt I'd been carrying (unknowingly) since age 4 or so. The process took a lot of work, time and heartache, but I am much happier now than I've ever been. I have an indescribable sense of freedom now that I've released the feeling of 'owing' people for allowing me to live. During the time I was attending classes here, I was also heavily involved with Codependents Anonymous. I highly recommend that group in tandem.

they don't ever provide the services they say they will...they helped me once and its like I've been blacklisted by them even though I am a victim.

The Women’s Center helps in so many ways. There are domestic, and sexual assault violence advocates, counselors, support groups, workshops, a food pantry and toiletries too. It also has many helpful resources in a nice little resource guide. The people that work and volunteer there are warm, friendly and understanding. It’s a wonderful place in our community.

My review of the services here can go beyond 5 stars as you may ask why . First it's everything they offer to help women. I can't believe that it took relocating to finally get the help needed after being left with no help up north for services . I was pushed around and left with you just need to deal with it . Brevard Women's Center is funded by the help of caring people. The staff is caring beyond measure. Special thanks to Pam . The front desk woman was amazing thou I don't remember here name I'm sorry. I encourage anyone to learn and go visit to join in on a group where everything is PRIVATE, and no pressure to speak along with individual counseling . If you know someone in need of assistance please call The Women's Center.
