A nice park with limited parking on Merritt Island, Florida This park is easy to find as it is nestled in the heart of Merritt Island, Florida. Kiwanis Park stands as a hidden gem, offering a serene and picturesque setting for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. It serves many different outdoor enthusiasts. It has a boat ramp, ball fields, tennis courts, and a large pavilion. Nature lovers will appreciate the park's close proximity to the Indian River, which offers breathtaking views and opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching. The calming waters and the gentle breeze create a perfect environment to unwind and connect with nature. This park also provides essential facilities such as clean restrooms, and picnic areas with barbecue grills making it convenient for visitors to spend a full day enjoying outdoor activities with family and friends. One of the major drawbacks that I noticed was limited parking. If the ball fields and pavilion are both in use you may have trouble finding a spot or you may have to line the roadway. In conclusion, Kiwanis Park in Merritt Island, Florida, offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its natural beauty, diverse recreational opportunities, and family-friendly facilities, the park is a haven for relaxation, play, and connection with nature. Whether you seek a peaceful stroll, a friendly sports match, or a tranquil picnic by the river, Kiwanis Park is a good choice in the area.

Nice park. I was there to guide a kayak tour to see the bioluminescent sea life but there's very little to be seen right now.

The one thing that struck me about this park is that it was so poorly planned. All the trees are planted in spots where they are useless for shade in the parking lots. Not one parking spot benefits from the shade of those trees.

Dustin was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I would love to come back in the summer and see the plankton one! The lady on the phone (didn’t catch her name) was very sweet as well!

Great Local Park! Playground, boat ramp, tennis courts, racquetball courts, baseball fields, large pavilion, fishing dock, community center with indoor courts. Start Smart program for 3-5 year olds with Coach Don is amazing! He is so good with the kids and what a great introduction to sports (and good to get out their energy!)

I love Kiwanis Park. I have played tennis, basketball, and racquet ball over the years at this one park. I have gone to wedding receptions, company picnics, and birthday parties. I have voted here and have been to many spectacular speciality shows put on by local vendors. I've fished from the banks and watched many of boats go by. I'm proud to call Kiwanis Park my favorite Brevard County park.

Early voting at it's BEST. ALTHOUGH the Early Voting is over for 2020, Merritt Island FL. was outstanding. Will definitely be encouraging the Supervisor of Elections to post on it's website which areas providing drop boxes for mailing & absentee ballots & which also have drive up ballot boxes. Kiwanis Island Park in Merritt Island Florida had a drive up box, which was invaluable for disabled voters & greatly appreciated!
