Watch this place they say none for profits but then they try to help the people of the island then the moment someone is on the up the kick them out they don't care for the people and they just rack in the profits from everyone who happens to be ignorant and on top of that they refuse to support local businesses. Don't shop here they're shady....

A HUGE thank you to Autumn and Amy! From the moment we opened the door we were welcomed and told about the sales and wooden nickel. The entire staff was working diligently to stock and maintain the store while providing amazing service! Selection of items were great! The store had order and wasn't over cluttered but tons to select from. I look forward to our future visits!
bonus: I brought my mom here which has accessibility limitations, the location has a convenient ramp along the entrance which made it safe and easy for her to access and she was able to navigate through the store with ease.

If this shop is a representation of community and helping the less fortunate it's disgusting their prices are higher than retail stores they've expanded almost as big as Goodwill within a matter of years and so a thrift store is usually for thrifty shopping the items were donated and instead of just keeping the lights on and thinking of the community they are expanding and having a Goodwill mentality actually Goodwill is way cheaper which that's a statement do better

I don’t think it should be advertised as a Thrift Store with the prices they have here. They’re selling used Levi jeans for $75. Don’t get me wrong the older Levi’s have become more popular but I’m pretty sure you can buy them on Levi’s website for cheaper.

I love this thrift store and I go here all the time. Me and my friend visited today and an employee named Abigale was extremely friendly and kind towards me and my friend! The selection is always good quality with in trend items at a cheaper price than good will even when you don’t include their regular sales. It’s a clean thrift store with friendly staff and I’m happy to have my island thrift within my community

The nicest thrift around! The manager (I'm embarrassed I don't recall his name, please excuse me) is amazing in his customer skills, incredibly knowledgeable in every facet & when I noticed a small issue w an item that I'm ashamed to admit was ALREADY priced incredibly well🤦🏼♀️, he reprised immediately with a smile. I look forward to my future visits more than any other retailer! Donate whenever possible, support is what keeps their remarkable shop going,
hopefully for years to come! ⏰💯🎉🍷🙋🏼

So I sadly have to say from five (5) stars to one (1) star is quite a fall n fail I must say. Indeed I was my favorite thrift. I both shopped and donated, supported and recommended often.
The change began to appear before the move to the enormous/ extensively largess location they now rent. From the huge store front, to the addition of separate donation/sorting building the size of the prior location in the strip mall beside Target? The financial ability to enlarge as they have is reflected in support by the community, as well as the growth in attitude within selective staff. Volunteers now bearing management, &/or ownership dependent on with whom the conversation is held.
I no longer support, nor patronize My Island Thrift, I honestly as shown in my original review, loved this thrift. Supported through donations & recommended to all asking for a good place to support through donations. I wont be explaining all, but I hope I'm clear that although I feel as I do? I do not expect anyone to feel, or react as I have. I will say that I find the new location questionable in the status of non profit. During the pandemic lock down, directly after the frontage was up for lease, being without the back additional store rental being included. At that time long ago the monthly payment was over $8k? Minus the additional drop-off rented. I do think it's a great location for any retail brand. The mattress, car lot, and several other options did not succeed there long ago. Unable to keep up with rental years ago?
The turnover seemed high for such a visible & spacious profitable platform. I do recall someone was going to open a Merritt Island center of some kind (being as no town/city hall) which sadly did not form due to as aforementioned? The pandemic shutdown. But a non profitable, donation supported thrift is able not only to afford quite a higher end retail space PLUS? I think they are thriving in the location, and the donation space separate from the enormous retail space is showing its worth by the extremely generous amounts of resale intake. However, the attitude provided to not only me, but others is not tolerable. Period. Sad, I miss this pl🥹ce. Changing the rating from 5 , to 2. Thank you.
