Very slow. They won’t let you get their cars. We’ve been waiting 30 minutes and not a single person has gotten their car. Recommend renting from elsewhere

Awful woman at reception. Useless woman who doesn't know how to do her job well, and clearly doesn't try. Car arrived with less than a quarter tank of fuel, didn't give me any paperwork to sign for pre-existing damage. Despite my reservation indicating a luxury car she tried to give me an awful Dodge and then a Hyundai. She also overcharged THREE times the reservation cost. I pointed it out when I picked up the car and she claimed it was only a deposit. But when I drop off the car, no, it wasn't a deposit -- I'm charged the full amount. Working with Avis customer service to deal with this headache caused by this stupid woman. She needs to be fired. Awful attitude, no smile from the beginning and rude to customers before me as well.

If you want to rent a convertible then dont rent from there, they have non and will just offer you another car which in our case was an upgrade so this is why it is 3 stars instead of one

We rented a car yesterday and we stated that we have a service dog. When we went to return the car, the lady from the desk was very rude and her customer service was horrible.She tried to charge a cleaning fee even though the car was perfectly clean, then she kept walking away while we talked to her.When we asked her what the next steps were she gave us a thumbs up from the distance and went inside her office.Very bad experience to be honest

FRAUDULENT LOCATION WITH AGENT CARMEN SCAMMING PEOPLE FOR ADDITIONAL MONEY. WANTED A $750 DEPOSIT WHEN AVIS CORPORATE ONLY REQUIRES $200 DEPOSIT. ALSO WANTED TO ADD $60 AND $75 CHARGE AS EXTRAS. KEPT BACKTRACKING AND CHANGES NUMBERS EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A COSTCO RESERVATION. CARMEN ALSO MADE FUN OF MY CHILDREN CALLING THEM BLACK AND "OTHER NAMES" IN SPANISH. SHE THOUGHT WE DID NOT KNOW SPANISH. HER BIGGEST MISTAKE! CALLED AVIS CORPORATE TO REPORT HER.

I made a reservation for 62 days. Reservation was made almost 1 month before the pick-up date. I had to wait 2 hours to get a car. I was rushed to sign the documents which I didn't have much time to read what is says. After singing the documents I realized I signed the car for 30 days not for 62 days. The car I was given was not in my selected class, the car was just dropped off by someone else and I got the keys within the first 5 minutes of the drop off of the car. Car wasn't clean but it wasn't too bad.

Located inside the Loews Miami South Beach hotel, there is an Avis rental office. The location is easy to get at and the office is situated on the left as you enter main hotel lobby. I both returned and rented a vehicle at this locations.Return experience was simple as I left the car in the hotel courtyard and dropped the keys inside the office. However the attendant logged the car as fuel 5/8 and they charged me a fuel service charge. Quick tip ....always take a picture of the fuel and mileage when renting & returning.Rental (Pick-Up) experience was simple but they seem to have a more manual process as it is a small location. Similarly, the vehicle was picked-up with 1/2 fuel but was registered as full on the Rental Agreement.I got both issues sorted out, but it can be bit of a hassle.No other issues with the vehicles themselves as I received vehicle class rented and the cars were clean.

Made reservations online months ago. Cars weren't ready when we came to pick up and they couldn't tell us when they'd be ready. Don't offer good deals if you can't honor them

I really recommend to avoid this rental!We had total horror story;1. We visited here 2 days before rental and reserved full size SUV. Person did not know model but said that we will get big and nice car2. At rental day morning we was first customer at desk, luckily, because there was only one car! And that was not full size, it was small SUV! We just fit in, 4 person's and 3big+4small luggage. We was basically forced to take car because it was only one at place!3. Car was not cleaned so trip started with cleaning trash from inside4. Most probably Avis charged us from full-size SUV!I strongly recommend to keep distance to this rental "cervice" to avoid huge disappointment!

Rented a car (a day prior with confirmation) to go to Everglades national park. On the day of the trip, there were no cars available at the location in Loews hotel. Customer service representative sent us to a different location where she guaranteed there is a car available FOR US( 20 minutes walk). At the new location on Collins Avenue, there were no cars available. Ruined our trip. We called customer service to talk to the supervisor and I was hung up on. Hope you have better luck or try a different car rental service.

- Rental car not available for pick-up, despite reservation 1 month in advance and confirmation message up to 15 minutes before start of rental.- Finally I have got an alternative car, but was not according to my preferences.- Drop off failed also due to premature closure of office. I arrived at 17h45 and office was already closed! Closing time is normally 18h. I called customer service but they could not tell me what to do. I had to drive to Miami Intl Airport to drop off the car there and take a taxi back to get to my hotel on South Beach. All unnecessary costs and my whole night was lost.I will never rent Avis again.

Usually I take avis car from airport and was everything perfect. But this location ruined my day. I'm waiting 2 + hours and get car which do not work properly. And finally I'm returned it. And take a taxi.

If you have a reservation, don’t assume your car will be there. And the customer service is really, really bad.
