When I arrived at this location the employee inside was helping another customer. Shortly after, someone was angry about them not having a minivan and the regional manager called from the customer’s phone and the employee started yelling at him and the customer. It sounded like they were running a side business out of Avis with drivers for hire and we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes to be helped while these guys yelled back and forth on the phone. The place was a mess. Receipts all over the floor, unprofessional communication and behavior in front of guests, and zero common decency in communication with customers. The car we reserved, a Jeep, was not available. We were offered a “regular car or SUV” and when pressed the employee said he guessed he could give us a Tahoe for the same price and only if we returned it on time. I returned the vehicle an hour early and was charged for an extra hour. Stay away from this Avis location!

Terrible service. Early in the morning they accepted the booking and sent a confirmation email. At 10 a.m., after an hour of waiting, they denied the availability of the car, claiming that, despite the confirmation email, bookings made just a few hours before pickup are not guaranteed.

I would leave 0 stars if possible.
Got charged 20% more than what the app said online when I told the person helping me he said “it’s too late to make the reservation online, this is the price or you can go somewhere else”
They also didn’t add my reservation to my account.
Needless to say than next time I rather walk 15 more minutes to the next location than rent from this person again.
Also, car was full of Doritos in the back seat.

Came in to rent a car and there is literally a line of 10 people with ONE person working behind the desk. The last person in the line (so far) is likely to wait nearly and hour to pick up a car. Whoever the manager of this location is they should be fired.

Tried to make a booking at the site, after our initial booking was refunded due to forgetting the card attached to the booking. However, the man at the desk (working Sunday 29th June at 10am) was incredibly rude - huffing and puffing as if we were an inconvenience to him every time we asked a question. Extremely passive aggressive and clear he was losing patience with us for no reason. He was the exact reason we stopped going ahead with renting the car. I hope he fixes his attitude.

Thank you Sam! We needed a last minute car rental and Sam was awesome. I made a reservation over the phone and he had it all setup we got in and out in like 5 minutes. Great vibe and took care of us well!

Great car rental with outstanding customer service! Booked a rental for a different Avis location by mistake (there are 3 Avis along Collins Ave), yet Sam still managed to change the booking and sort us a car. Everything went as expected, no additional charges or hidden fees, and very easy return. Definitely recommend!

Never answer the phone and will charge your card weeks after the rental for tolls when you already had a transponder. Be careful at this location. Especially with the lady. Seems sweet but they will bill you for charges without itemized receipts. FRAUD. ANSWER THE PHONE

I travel frequently and have used Avis in Miami Beach for several years. The primary reason being Sam, one of the company’s managers/employees at the Miami Beach location. Sam always provides excellent service and is easy to work with re: securing a rental on short notice. Would recommend 10/10.

Best Car rental experience ever!!! Everyone was very professional and are there to make it quick and easy! I will be coming to rent again at this south beach location very soon. Hats off to the Avis team!
