About Clean Miami Beach

Clean Miami Beach, Inc is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by a Miami Beach resident dedicated to the protection of beautiful Miami Beach and its marine wildlife. The organization began by organizing beach cleanups with friends, and as its engagement grew, it expanded to include City officials, the Miami Beach Police Department, students, teachers, and executives who care about making a difference. The Clean Miami Beach team organizes regular beach cleanups, providing volunteers with buckets, trash grabbers, and rubber gloves. In just one hour, they have removed over 330 lbs of garbage from the beach. The organization emphasizes the importance of reducing plastic waste, as plastic cups can last up to 450 years in landfills. Volunteers are encouraged to bring reusable bottles and to pick up two pieces of garbage on their way out. Participating in the Clean Miami Beach cleanups is described as an incredible and rewarding experience, with volunteers feeling good about their contribution to the environment and the protection of marine life.
