Haulover Park is a huge and expansive beach and park area. The beach is always clean, beautiful, and typically calm with clear, shallow azure waters perfect for kids and families. The sands are white and clean. It is a great place for snorkeling, relaxation, and collecting sea shells, with sightings of plenty of fish, pelicans, manatees, and stingrays near the inlet. People come to spend the whole day, enjoying the clean picnic areas, grassy spaces for flying kites, and watching the boats pass by. The park offers a beach area, a marina with hundreds of boats, and clean facilities including parking areas and restrooms. While it can be crowded, it remains a fun and serviceable location with life guards on duty. It is a recommended spot for fishing, having a picnic, and bringing pets, who are well-behaved. Visitors should note there are separate east and west sides to explore.
