The right average to define a structure in an excellent position and very clean rooms but services not working (wifi - safe - TV) and interventions promised but never arrived during the stay. Yet we had taken the suite. Sin!

Make a reservation in the month of October 2023 for 3 people at this hotel. When we arrive to check in, they tell us that there is a problem with the room and that they would transfer us to the La Flora Hotel at no additional cost. In addition, they charge 100USD per deposit. which can only be done through a credit/debit card; This deposit would be released at the end of the stay, something that never happened. The Hotel is a little old, there is a lot of musty smell, the elevator is very old, uncomfortable and dark; However, the hotel is well located just one block from the beach in the busiest area of South Beach.Sadly, almost three months later, the hotel never returned the money. They respond that they did and that I should contact my bank. The bank responds that no money has been received nor is any frozen value found; I made the claim with booking and they ask for a series of requirements within which there is a screen of the bank statement where they make the payment, after a few days they respond that they need an additional document from the bank where the value appears in dollars for them to carry out the verification (given which appeared in Colombian pesos in the statement), which seems like a game of ping pong where no one responds and they delay the process so that one gives up making a claim. There were already comments about this situation that we sadly omitted, I do not recommend the hotel; Well, it is not fair that under any circumstances people deliberately lose money.(Once you leave that country it is difficult to make a claim. CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE, do not stay here, it is a well-organized SCAM)

I was very dissatisfied with the room, there were no washcloths, only towels. There were no cups of any sort. There was no sofa, rather some modified, hard as rock piece of furniture liberally described as a futon. The lobby was spartan and very dated. The restaurant was only open Wedesday through Sunday. The room reminded me of a dorm, and the hotel like a hostel.Safety: Safe well lit area.,no problems in this area.Walkability: It was within walking distance of a mall.Noteworthy details: There is a grocery store on the block and is accessible to shopping areas and a variety of restaurants. The area raised no safety issue ,and was clean.

Quiet and convenient location but could use a bit of updates. We slept with the lights on to keep the cockroaches at bay. See other reviews for pictures. It was downpouring outside. Our flight was delayed so we got in late. We weren't about to look for another hotel in the downpour and late at night. We just needed a few hours sleep before embarking on our cruise in the morning.Rooms: Please see other reviews for pictures of multi generation cockroach. It's a small one so there are big ones in the building somewhere. Oh there's a restaurant downstairs.

I strongly do not recommend it! I canceled a fully refundable reservation, the hotel reserved 30 days for a refund, it's been over two months, I haven't gotten my money back and the hotel doesn't respond to messages!

We booked a 4-night stay (checking in on Thursday and checking out on Monday), expecting a comfortable and enjoyable experience. However, the events that unfolded during our stay on Saturday night were nothing short of a nightmare.Around midnight on Saturday, the fire alarm abruptly sounded, and the room temperature soared from 70°F to 78°F within minutes. Simultaneously, a toxic odor permeated the air. My wife and I hastily evacuated our room, finding ourselves in pajamas and in a state of panic. To our astonishment, the reception was deserted, and the phone number displayed there was a disconnected service line.It was only through the assistance of a receptionist from the sister hotel that we were able to find any form of support. He promptly inspected our room and regrettably confirmed that no other rooms were available in your hotel. Left with no other choice, we were forced to scour the internet for alternative accommodations in the dead of night, around 1 am.As we were in the midst of this stressful search, the receptionist returned with news that he had spoken with his manager and had secured an apartment a few blocks away for us. Exhausted and desperate, we reluctantly accepted the offer. However, upon entering the apartment, we were met with the overpowering stench of mold and a shocking level of dirtiness. We flatly refused to stay there. The receptionist conferred with his manager once more, ultimately securing us an alternative apartment within the same building. It was now well past 1 am, and we had no other choice but to stay the night there.Regrettably, the alternative accommodation provided was far from satisfactory. The room was filthy, the air conditioning unit was either broken or emitted an intolerable level of noise, and the bed sheets emitted an unpleasant odor. This experience not only marred our Saturday night but tainted our entire stay.I’ve written them explaining the situation and asking for a refund and have not heard back.

Had a short stay at the Impala, it was very quaint hotel. Really liked the garden area and it was close to most attractions & shopping. The gentleman at the front desk named Michael was very professional and hospitable. We enjoyed our stay and it was very affordable and and offered exceptional value for what we paid.

TLDR: If they'd put water bottles in the room and an ice machine in the lobby this place could easily be a 4-star hotel.Very cute picturesque spot in a perfect location. And there's a vintage/old school charm that I wasn't expecting but really enjoy. Like the wrought iron door latches on the closets, and the stone countertops in the bathroom. I've been to a lot of hotels but I've never seen anything like that before. And the staff is super friendly/helpful, but the phones don't work and there's no bottled water anywhere in the building. Not even a vending machine or ice machine. That's my biggest gripe. In a place like South Beach where staying hydrated is so important you'd think they'd prioritize such a thing.Location: 5 stars (Collins Ave)Cleanliness: 5 stars (well maintained)Affordability: 4 stars (approx $100/night)Room Size: 3 stars (not small but not big)Amenities: 2 stars (no pool/spa/gym/ICE)Parking: 2 stars (only street/meter)View: 1 star (no views in any rooms)Accessibility: 1 star (not ADA accessible)All in all, I'd definitely come back. I'd just have to leave wheelchair bound family/friends at home and buy water beforehand.Safety: The phones don't work. Like not in the room and not at the front desk. Even when you try to call the front desk from your cellphone you can't get through to anyone.Noteworthy details: GET AN ICE MACHINE AND BOTTLED WATER! Also, there should be more of a heads up about the lacking ADA accessibility. It's only two floors but there's no elevator. Also, it rains a lot in Miami and all of the floors have slick surfaces.

We had a single night in Hotel Impala after arriving from the UK, so we could have a night/day in Miami Beach before picking up our rental car.The Impala was easy to find, clear instructions, with no issues checking in or out. The rooms in the hotel are straightforward without any bells-and-whistles, but the bed was large and comfortable, and the shower in the bathroom was great. We found it quiet, with no issues with Boise, and it's a great location being only one block west of Ocean Drive.Special shout-out to Michael - the desk assistant at the associated Hotel Flora next door where you check in and out. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, likeable and generally just exactly the sort of person you want on front desk and precisely what these poor tired English travellers needed. A real credit.

Stayed here for the first night of our road trip. Great clean room. Location is amazing for South Beach. Special mention goes to Micheal at neighbouring hotel La Flora when checking out. He was very helpful and friendly.
