They charged me for several mini bar items I didn’t even consume. Then the one I did consume they charged me double for and I found more charges on my credit card when I got home.
Room was a little musty probably from recent hurricane issues I guess.
Bed was comfortable and pool was nice.

I have to write this review because Giana was AMAZING. She was so helpful when one of our party members booked the wrong property- she was able to assist with getting us all staying at the same hotel, The Surfcomber. She made genuine connections with us, and elevated the arrival experience. As a Director of Rooms, I noticed her attitude of servitude immediately! @MGMT you have an all-star on your team!

Best location in the art deco district for walking to the beach, restaurants, shopping <.2 miles away. Lobby and dinning are classy as main floor looks way nicer than the hotel rooms themselves. The hotel is meant for someone wanting decent but NOT a luxurious space -if you aren’t the type to stay in your room much you are probably fine (Mold in between shower tiles, run down hallways , small rooms, really small bathroom, comfortable beds/linens but not high end) All resorts in Miami charge a 20% service charge however this hotel automatically applied gratuity on beach drinks too. The staff at the beach, pool are friendly and wonderful. We liked the guy who put out the beach chairs each day. Please give tips too. The resort gives you a cheap arm band to get your beach chair/towels daily. The happy hour drinks had b grade wines. Great free coffee/tea set up in the mornings. Resort fee includes lots of the above and WiFi just be prepared for add on costs, dingy rooms, vastly good main lobby. A place called Munchies is really close with good cheap food/bottled water and cokes. Ocean grill a short walk away with beach views had a five star dining experience. No hot tub-great disappointment there. You’re welcome this is the truest review.

Disappointing. First - the “Beach Front Terrace”….well don’t spend the extra for this. Technically it’s “Beachfront” yes. But you can’t see the ocean through the trees and the terrace is separated from terrace next by a thin wall of plants. As gold IHG members we are entitled to late checkout - we requested 2 PM and were granted - 3 times housekeeping knocked on our door. The blinds in our room didn’t work. Had to call twice to have it repaired. Staff are friendly and location is lovely. Not sure we will ever be on South Beach ever again - but if so - we will stay somewhere else

Sunny & chic.
We stay here often when visiting Miami. Boho chic vibe and steps from the ocean.
Surfcomber reminds us of the Beverly Hills Hotel in CA only casual. Location is perfect for biking, walking, shopping and dining in South Beach and the staff is eager to please, polished and pleasant.
Walkability: Close to ocean and shopping, prime location.
Food and drinks: Food & drinks top notch. Drinks a bit pricey but worth it. Happy hour everyday from 5-6pm they serve complimentary wine. Wine was decent, nice touch.
Noteworthy details: Pool is beautiful and steps from the ocean.
They have cute beach bikes- no charge and offer yoga everyday.

Good location on upper SoBe. Staff incredible. Pricey, but it's boutique ? Only the rooms need improvement, not in design but in installments, a little bit worn they seem. Direct access to Beach!

I really liked this hotel, it's a beautiful building, with a nice swimming pool area, and a very good location.
I don't regret my choice, I really liked the room, but the bathroom is really small. The real problem is that there is very little space to put your things. I think the solution would rather be to find storage tips for customers.
The housekeepers were nice.
On the other hand, I didn't really appreciate the reception services, already a deposit of 900 dollars for 6 nights I find that excessive compared to other hotels.
They only return it 4 days later I don't see why, because when we arrive, we don't know in what condition we will have the room and when we leave it would be enough for the cleaning lady to validate that everything is OK.
You have to pay everything straight away without having seen the condition, however they reserve the right to keep it for several days after departure, which in my opinion is abusive.
A young woman at reception was never pleasant to us. She saw that we had difficulty speaking English and understanding, so she didn't bother to write on Google Trad with her computer.
At this price I think we can adapt to customers.
On the other hand, the others were friendly.
I think the best is to take the garden side view so you will have less noise from the swimming pool, and no noise from the avenue.
Apart from that, honestly the rest was very good.

The hotel and property is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. First you need to put cameras everywhere and monitor your staff for being glued to their phones. It’s unprofessional to have someone staring at their phone and opening the door. It’s also annoying to be nickeled and dimed for everything. An umbrella at the beach should be included. You also shouldn’t advertise amenities in the rooms that you aren’t providing. There’s an apparent children’s storybook evening amenity that my daughter had her hopes up for and no one knew about it.

The marketing pictures are deceiving. From the second you walk into the lobby you smell 100 plug-ins attempting to mask the horrid smell of MOLD/MILDEW all over this place.
The room(326) was absolutely disgusting. The beds are broken, the dresser as well, there is mold all over the ceiling and windows, and the windows don’t seal.
We cancelled our reservation and walked to Lennox.
Just avoid this place.
Rooms: Dirty and broken down

What a great little Gem!!! Juan at check in worked to get us an ocean/pool view room for our anniversary, Michael and Manny celebrated our anniversary with a bottle of Champagne and Gianna was so personable during check out. We were there for a quick night before heading to Key West. We will be coming back and enjoying this hotel in the future for a longer time! The pool, lawn games, happy hour and bikes are so fun! We were there right after Milton and loved seeing how much the staff really cared for those evacuating. They made it very easy for guests to bring their pets and did a pet happy hour to help bring smiles.
The room was great, grounds were well kept and right on the boardwalk!
The Watermelon Sushi at the restaurant is a MUST! Thanks all for a wonderful time!

I stayed here for a bachelorette and we had a one bedroom suite and two double rooms for the four days. It was the perfect place to stay. The staff were so nice, the rooms were spacious and well kept. The service at the pool was great and the beach is right there. I’m knocking off one star because after we checked out the final bill was $500 more than it was supposed to be. Luckily I caught this and emailed back and forth with billing until the issue was resolved. Just make sure you check your final bill and statements on credit cards after checkout to ensure charges are correct.
