Nice facilities but they make sneakers mandatory. If you actually know how to lift, crawl and carry, you know you want to do that shoeless. I then put closed toe clogs on, per doctor’s instructions, and they again chastised me for wearing those. There is NO mention of requiring shoes, let alone sneakers anywhere on their website, or the 1 Hotel’s website. Awful service.

After 3 years,- leaving this "number 1" gym due to worm infestation. Just 4 days ago found my bare arms on the edge of a cold plunge in the same water with skinny black worms. Manager after the incident kindly offered "penalty free cancellation",- so I took it.

Terrible experience!!! My sisters and I went down to this establishment to simply workout and move our bodies. We go down with one key card and check in. The people at the front desk interrogate us about our room number after we told them our room number and showed them our key card. Then they continued to question us about our age, especially confronting my twin (us both 16 years in age) about her age and they “we needed identification” to workout. Since when do we need to carry our passport to workout at a gym? Beyond ridiculous. Apparently since we were underage (my twin and I), we needed an adult supervision. But my 18 year old sister wasn’t enough of an adult to watch us? Ridiculous again. Ok. We come back with our parents and they continue to shoot us down, saying that my twin and I weren’t old enough even with adult supervision. They kept changing the rules on us. Terrible management. I’ve stayed at great establishments such as the Peninsula Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental, never had an issue with our age and working out. Argued with us the entire time. 1 star.

We were staying in Miami at the 1 Hotel. This is the gym affiliated with the hotel. The gym is almost gleeful about turning hotel guests away. My 18 and 16 yo DD went to work out and were turned away. Apparently having a room key card wasn’t good enough to prove we were hotel guests (even after giving a last name & room number). Additionally, they were told that they needed to have ids to enter. When my girls came back with all of the required documentation they were still not permitted to enter. This time they were told they needed a parent to enter. The gym manager and desk workers were very very rude and condescending. An awful experience and not the way anyone should be treated!

Me and my family experienced an an absolutely horrible encounter when entering the gym. When walking into the gym initially, me and my sisters were told we weren’t allowed to work out because they were under the age of 16 (we have stayed at other highly acclaimed hotels such as the Peninsula in Chicago and the Mandarin Oriental where this was NEVER an issue.)The brunette woman at the front desk explained that if we came back with a parental guardian, even though I am 18 years old, the minors would be allowed to workout. Upon returning with my parents, we were told that my sisters STILL couldn’t workout at the gym, when five minutes ago we were told the opposite. The manager came out (with a very hostile attitude) and explained that this is hotel policy, even though the gym isn’t owned by the hotel. I tried asking for what reason guests under 16 couldn’t workout at the gym and why, with parental guardians, my sisters still couldn’t workout at the gym. We were never given a good answer. This sort of customer service is unacceptable and both the manager and the front desk workers attitudes were highly confrontational and hostile. Would never recommend working out here, especially not with your kids. Working out should be available to people of ALL ages.

Gym is way to overcrowded. Always a wait for everything. They have one elliptical. There's 6 treadmills and two are out of order. Pretty pathetic. And I go at 8pm. I can only imagine what this place is like during peak hours.

Easily the BEST hotel fitness center I've ever seen. And probably one of the top 5 gyms I've ever set foot in (I've been working out all of my adult life!). Had every piece of equipment and accessory. Super clean and totally inspiring!

It is a good gym but bad management. Today my annual membership elapsed and they refused to let me use the gym (I did not have a credit card with me to pay renew membership). I am a condo owner and one would have thought I would not be turned back. For busy professionals, it is such a hassle to block time to hit the gym. Being returned is a bad experience. You go to a gym for a year and no credit or recognition. The sad part is that being in the building, I will still have to use them.

Super pricey for people who are visiting, but great gym and atmosphere. Dude who runs the place is cool, and set me up with the right places to eat

Not open for people not living at the hotel, something they should inform about on their google page.

This is an excellent Anatomy location, and is very similar to what you get at an Equinox - but cleaner. I can walk here from where I live, and when family stays in the hotel, they get in for free. Excellent experience.

Obviously a great location for a gym and a decent facility overall. Smaller/less than I expected but still nice. A modern kickboxing style area to hit the bags, some cardio equipment in its own niche as well, a few machines and some free weight areas that could use improvement. The spa area/locker room is the highlight of the gym. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Awful. I have been going to u0026 enjoying gyms for years u0026 this was the worst experience that I have ever had. The manager of this gym is totally incompetent u0026 dangerous. If you are a woman, be careful around him (verbally harassing and aggressive). I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Avoid avoid avoid.
