“MINISO is a Chinese discount retail store founded in 2013 by Jack Ye. He was inspired to create MINISO after visiting stores in Japan that sold good quality, inexpensive products that were manufactured in China. He used his knowledge of product development, supply chain, and the fashion industry, to establish MINISO headquartered in Guangzhou, China. MINISO manufactures and sells household and consumer goods including cosmetics, stationery, accessories, toys, pet items, snacks, candy, and kitchenware. The MINISO motto is "Life is for fun." Today they are in more than 100 countries and operate over 5,500 stores. This MINISO store on Lincoln Road is bright and inviting. Geared towards young people, the shelves are lined with pastel colored stationary, cups, plush animals, towels, accessories, phone cases, food storage containers, bags, socks, hair accessories, pet items, sunglasses, perfume, and collectible figures from Disney, Hello Kitty, and more. They had some Zootopia items to coincide with the new movie. They also had some fashionable sunglasses and a floral series of reed diffusers. There were several clearance areas for even more savings. My favorite section is the Asian snacks, candy, and drinks. I love the Ramune but this time I picked up a Popping Boba Strawberry Dragon Fruit Oolong Tea. I work with kids so it is always fun to check out the treats and toys at MINISO when I come across one.”
