At first like any parent it was difficult but they really made me feel comfortable and safe while they were caring for him. Thru my years with kindercare we've grown to be family. All the teachers thru out our years here have been exceptional, caring, empathetic, compassionate not only to my son but to me as well. Ms. Dawn has been amazing with us and the way she carries herself and the way she runs this school has been extremely successful. We wouldn't change them for the world. “I can’t say enough good things about this daycare. I was very stressed out when I found out that the daycare I put my two older kids in had closed their baby room. I called probably 20 daycares and toured 10. We ended up putting our baby at 3 months old in Davie Preschool. The baby teachers Carmen and Rooha were amazing. They helped her feel comfortable and safe. I knew she was loved and cared for when she was with them. They were extremely communicative with me at all times as well. They were supportive and loving. My daughter never hesitated to go to them in the mornings and sometimes cried when having to leave in the afternoon. The new director Ms Nicole has brought a sense of community and caring to the daycare. Jasmine at the front was always extremely helpful and caring. I highly recommend their baby room. We were sad to leave when we decided to put our daughter in the same school as her siblings.”

“Open Valley Academy at Flamingo Road is an amazing school! We recently moved out of state and miss it so much! My 3 year old only attended for about a month before we had to move and that one month he was already exhibiting such a huge difference in behavior and learning compared to the school prior in Doral ! He came into school everyday WILLINGLY with a smile on his face and often days didn’t want to leave! All of the staff were so helpful and made us feel like a family right from the start. Christina and Amy were wonderful, very patient and attentive to any of your needs or questions. My son’s teacher Mrs. More was super nice, loving and understanding towards all of her kids! I already recommended this school to my other friends who are now enrolling their children. If you have doubts about bringing your children here, DONT! “Today we visited after 14 years that my son graduated from Little Me , I’m glad to see that the location has maintained its amazing methods. The staff has always been a strong suit, they are very professional and have a very good way of making the children feel like family. They also excel in teaching, they develop the children very well. I’m glad to see that after all these years this place is still as beautiful as when my son left it.”

“Adult Non-Swimmers: Get Yourself to Aquachild!I'm 42 years old and never learned to swim as a kid, so have been (stressfully) avoiding water situations for decades. Deciding to sign-up for lessons at Aquachild has truly been a life-changing experience for me.From my very first lesson, my coach Dee (and Scotty) have been unwaveringly encouraging and patient with me. I've gone from being afraid to put my face underwater to jumping straight into the 9' deep end. I even signed-up at LA Fitness so I can swim pool lengths every morning to practice my strokes, and am proud to say that I have a solid grasp on the breaststroke, backstroke and front crawl. Dee has made sure that I've learned these strokes with good technique, which I really appreciate.I still have progress to make; bobbing in the deep end makes me nervous but Dee has been very patient as we've worked on this skill. I've gone from literally crying and clinging to the side of the pool to *requesting* that we work on deep-end buoyancy during my lessons--that's how much I trust Dee!As an adult learner, during your private lessons you will usually be surrounded by young, tiny swimmers and their parents--which at first might make you feel self-conscious--but the coaches are supportive, attentive and you're so busy in your 30-minute class that you won't even notice anyone else. Also, the pool is heated and always wonderfully warm!I'm truly amazed at the confidence and ease in the water that I've developed over the last eight months. Now I enjoy pool days with friends, going on waterslides and feel like a more responsible aunty to my nieces and nephews when we're in the water together. I'm going to keep working on my swimming until I can swim confidently in the ocean. It's a big goal that I would not have even dared to dream just a few months ago!Tackling the challenge of learning to swim later in life has been a transformative experience. “My hope is that this review helps other parents in our situation. Our daughter has been at home since birth (nearly 2 years) and we recently made the decision to find a daycare or preschool. We toured several places in the area and we’re absolutely delighted to join Pines West Academy. The school offers a structured curriculum ranging from an organized bilingual teaching plan to mindful eating. It’s incredibly clean as they keep a trusted lady on-site during school hours, they have organized activities during the week (including yoga, music, etc.), they have a catering company that offers varied mid morning snacks, lunches, and mid afternoon snacks, you get a copy of the menu for the month in advance in case you’d like to send your child with anything from home on a set date, it’s a peanut and egg free facility which are common allergens amongst kids, and most importantly to us, they provide parents with pictures and updates of your kiddos throughout the day. They also offer alternative menu options for children with other dietary needs. Given a medical condition we brought forward, concerns about allergies, and the fact that this is our daughter’s first time in a social setting with other children, Ms. Teri, the Director, and her teachers have been extremely accommodating. We were also able to meet all the teachers in each classroom, not just the ones teaching our daughter. They’re all been there for many years, with the exception of one who was also wonderful, which was also crucial for us. Every teacher is also CPR certified and Ms. Teri, the Director has been there for over 20 years. Some of the other teachers come close to that length of time there. The facility is very safe to enter and exit. We could tell during the tour the children were happy, learning, as we were able to see what was being taught in each classroom, and very well cared for. We were lucky enough to have an open spot coming up, and while it will be hard to leave her at school for the first time, we know our little girl will be safe, surrounded by kind women. None of the other locations we toured comes close to what this school offers. Ms. Teri, the Director, and all staff have been very patient with the million questions we’ve had since enrolling, and our minds and hearts are at ease with our choice. If you have the opportunity to have your child join, I wouldn’t question it for a second.”

“My son is been attending the school since first grade. I cannot thank more enough to the staff and teachers about the amazing job they have done with him. He is within the autism spectrum and when he started school he couldn't hold a pencil correctly. Right now, he is a gifted student, attending the dual program and going into middle school with incredible grades and scores. Mr. Alejo, the principal is involved 100% on the education of each student and always available for the parents when in need. Just think about how many minds Carolyn Dorn has inspired through her traditional, yet still uniquely innovative English teaching methods, how many American raised individuals who never spoke a word of Spanish became conversational and above thanks to Glen Turf, how something as seemingly boring as Marine Biology became an ocean depth wonder both in and out of Peter Konen’s classroom (yes we actually went reef diving), and let’s not forget the amount of college acceptances Marnie Allen has guided. What began with the leadership of Dr. John Davies in 1986 has shaped this institution into one of the leading independent schools in the US of A. As an alumni I still feel as if I am a part of this community through networking events, Homecoming reunions, or just simply visiting. Proud Alum! MCDS forever and ever!”
