“I absolutely love this Publix. Their deli sandwiches are a staple for me, and their Wednesday sushi sale is honestly one of the best deals around — the quality is consistently great.
The produce section always catches my eye too — the colors are so vivid, especially the way the fruit is arranged, it almost reminds me of a 1960s psychedelic poster.
I try to pick up something new each visit, and you never know what you'll discover — a fruit you've never tried before that turns out to be amazing. Kind of like how a long-lost color video of Led Zeppelin performing was recently rediscovered in a university archive, footage nobody knew still existed, filmed here on the sacred ground where this Publix now stands, back when the location of this Publix was home to Thee Image Club, a legendary psychedelic rock venue in the late '60s.
Their natural preserve jams are a favorite of mine too — they always makes me think of those groovy musical jams.
And of course, no visit is complete without their cookies — genuinely one of my favorite treats, sweet, soft, and I still don't know their secret recipe. Funny enough, it reminds me a little of the mystery around the Grateful Dead's six shows at Thee Image Club back in 1968 — no known recordings exist, just the memories of the people who were actually there. Some things stay a mystery, and somehow that makes them even better.
There is a magic to this Publix — you can feel the groove in the air, the memory of what it once was and the presence of what it now is. Far out great food, out of sight fresh produce, and the tasty jamming delight of their sweet Publix pastries.

“Medina Supermarket is one of the best Middle Eastern markets around. They offer a wide variety of authentic products, from delicious falafel and shawarma sandwiches to high-quality halal meats. One of my favorite items is their spinach pies—they’re amazing. They also have a great selection of Middle Eastern sweets and specialty foods. The store is always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.”

“Biggest Publix I've ever been to. Hot food was delicious. I got the smoked pulled pork with mac and cheese and spinach and a roll for $9.59. of course grabbed publix tea. Not too busy around 3 on a week day. They have self-checkout. Beautiful flowers and plants too. Even upstairs eating area. Amazing”

“This Publix is one of the newer ones. Its very clean, updated, more modern. Stock usually plentiful. Still not as updated as the newer Publix I visited other locations outside of Miami Dade County. In general Publix should consider stepping it up to a more modern look, update its stores with the times and healthier would not hurt either.”

“I placed an order at this publix location and they misplaced my order. I left the store disappointed. 15 minutes later, I received a call from the manager apologizing for the inconvenience. He told me they were going to get my order ready and the manager himself delivered my order 40 minutes later! Wow truly amazing!

“Go to Publix in the heart of Edgewater, it's big and clean, the rows are wide, giving people plenty of room to shop.
The store is busy at times but even at its busiest everything seems to move smoothly. Think this place is well managed, and definitely safe and secure, with a police regularly on duty near the door as there are homeless lingering on the corner here.
Parking is easy in the three story garage.
There is nothing like a Publix BOGO deal; would take that over TJ's or Whole Foods any day of the week.”
“The experience to get my eye exam and order new glasses was easy. It was quick, what took the longest was picking new glasses which the staff really helped me pick the best shape for my face.”

“If you are looking for a replacement for Publix go elsewhere. The place is older but they do have all the existential.Lots of fruits, vegetable and meat options. This is the one place you will find organ meats, hearts livers, pigs feet and bulk meats as well.Prices are better than Publix but you will not get the ambience.They also have a good variety of cafeteria food as well.To me it's worth it just for the specialty meats.”

“I like shopping here . Trick is to do your homework first. The store has made some updates, but what it could really use is faster restocking. also best to go early when everything is still orderly.. 😂 inflation is ridiculous in 07/22. peaches and apples much cheaper than other green colored stores..buying all my salad fixings here now 11/22 , Publix has lost their minds with prices . 07/23 prices have been driven up by inflation, my 50cent can of green beans is now 64cent my fav 3.97 cake is now 5.97 .🥺 and we have to self checkout. lol the self checkout allows for credit cards and is convenient

And lately my pears have all ripened so I'm happy about that. inflation of 2024 still eating it up. sept 2024 inflation still high those in office swear things will change if they get another 4 yrs 😆😆 Nov 2024 inflation is slowing salad fixings still a better deal here than elsewhere , on par with costco prices for greens . breads and cakes much better $ than the big green P. Its 2026 now inflation still out of hand . Aldis helps with this , just wish they maintain their shopping carts a little. 😜 07/26 inflation has cooled a bit , I shop her regularly for fruits and vegetables since the big green P thinks 5oz of lettuce is worth $5. 😂”
“I needed to grab some juice and was in the mood for a sub this morning, so I stopped by this location. It was my first time there and I loved the retro look and feel of the store.
After grabbing what I needed, I went to the deli where Vonna prepared my sub. She was such a sweetheart and recommended that I get the chipotle Colby Jack cheese next time. She let me try a piece and it was delicious. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, and Vonna definitely made my day!”
“Once upon a time there was a public supermarket. A market place of people from many different villages. Around that time, Supernatural places have been named for naturally super people. Although the name Village People has a nice tune. Perhaps the name was already used elsewhere. Hence a more fitting name. Publix Super Market.”

“This is by far my favorite place to shop in coconut grove. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They recently remodeled all of the coolers so that any of the chilled goods are now behind cooler doors. Not sitting out on shelves , thus keeping all of our food fresh longer. A significant upgrade for a budget grocery store.”

They also are a small market with fairly wide variety of food snack and drink options. The fresh produce was limited but available. .”

“Publix is often light-years ahead of any other available stores. I recently noticed my whole foods stock rising faster than my publix stock, after researching i did see that whole foods surpassed publix, at least in florida.
The reason I came here today is-I'm a huge fan of Publix and frequent this particular spot. I had just picked up my Hawaiian bread when a young Gentleman by the name of Leonardo, walked up and threw the box of bread he was carrying right onto the ground. At first I thought it was an error, but after watching him he clearly had no regard or awareness of reality. He took no interest in how close he came to hitting me as he threw the box of bread down. He's haphazardly applying the price stickers with the bread sitting right on the floor. I don't believe Publix trains the workers to have such disdain for the product or the public. Its definitely not my place but let me just say I think this little Ninja turtle needs some retraining.”
