I moved to this area from Miami Beach recently had the most amazing vet in Miami (coconut grove) family owned priced very reasonable for Miami I was going to my vet in Miami for over 11 years then we moved to Jax & my mini dachshund was bit by a snake we didn't have a vet yet it was on Memorial Day could not find a vet anywhere in Jax that was opened so unfortunately she passed so I just got a new puppy I took her to Russell road & it was like the twilight zone expensive as hell & im from Miami one of the most expensive cities in the United States & middleburg was more expensive. my puppy was only 9 weeks weighed 2lbs & they continued to tell me she needed 3 sets of shots within a 2 week time frame that to me is a red flag since my puppy was so tiny & when I questioned the vet omg she got so defensive basically telling me if I didn't trust her to leave she was so disrespectful toward me after I had already spent 400.00 on shots wtf?! I do not trust this place or the vets at all

I called to ask questions regarding putting my 14 yr old dog down, when she broke down the cost I thought l heard her wrong when she said $150 more if I wanted to be with the dog at the time he passed . I asked her again " So you're telling me if I want to be with my dog during his passing you're going to charge and extra $150?" and she said yes there is a charge for that . To me that makes me wonder why they don't want you there. Very disturbing!!! I ended up going to Maverick's and it was a very peaceful process for my boy . Would not recommend this place to anyone .

Well, I can overlook the unfriendly staff, but when the actual care of my dogs starts to suffer, I have to draw a line. I starting bringing my dogs here 6 months ago, shortly after moving to the area. Their prescription prices are considerably higher than online pharmacies, so I order online. Every single time (3 instances), they failed to fax back authorizations, and blamed the pharmacy that only gets paid if they fill a prescription. Every time, 7-10 days pass, and multiple phone calls are made to them to get things squared away. Today, after 2 calls last week they said they did in fact authorize medication for my 14 year old dog. When I told them I used the last pill today and needed a small supply until the online order went through, they said I had to bring the 14 year old dog in for an exam. It's been less than 6 months from his last exam. He even stayed overnight for IV fluids. So for over a week, including today with the first person at the clinic I spoke to, they said the pharmacy was sent refill authorization, and any delay was there fault. Then Will, the office manager was put on the line and said no refill without an exam. My dog is now OUT of medication and I have to scramble. It is not an option to go back to this terrible Vet again. I've been there about 6 times in 6 months and never felt good about this Vet. My instincts were correct. STAY AWAY!!!

The kindest and most compassionate services you're going to find. This place is located in Middleburg, very convenient if you live in Middleburg. Not as convenient if you live in Jacksonville but it's probably worth the drive. You can take the new highway 23 straight down from I 10 and be there in 20 minutes. These folks have been in business for a very long time and they know their stuff. Their staff are well trained and everybody in the office is kind and compassionate. They go over and above to make sure that your animals are treated like family.

I was here for the dreaded and unfortunate job of having your fur baby put down. She was 18 years old and had been given a great life, but her body had given up. The receptionist was awesome!! Took me to a room with our Miss Lulu so I could finish all the paperwork. Then she asked if I would like some more time with her before they took her back, which I did. When she returned she took Lulu gently back. I know this is a sad subject but I do want to give props when they are due. Plus the young man I talked to regarding prices times etc was so pleasant and took care of my needs. So for me on such a sad occasion, the clinic helped by being so understanding. Now our Miss Lulu is in doggy heaven

Very rude receptionist, Shelby. I called in to check on my missing dog. A 1 yr old dapple dachshund. Wasn't sure if maybe someone brought her in or would bring her in so I asked if there was a lost book or a fax number I could fax a flyer to. Her response was, " No, this is a hospital" Right, this is an ANIMAL hospital so there should be a book or fax number I could fax a flyer to incase my dog gets taken in. Very disrespectful in my opinion!

I am a long time client that is extremely loyal. I can honestly say in did not understand the negative reviews about RRAC. Today was eye opening for me! Very disappointed how I was treated today!!! I am changing vets and have no intention to return!

We brought our sweet mini Aussie to RRAC on June 24th because he had been acting somewhat under the weather and was not eating. The staff took him in immediately , realizing there was something very wrong. They immediately began running tests in an attempt to diagnose his illmess. While awaiting test results, our baby died (through no fault of the veterinary staff). Dr. Harrington, as well as the rest of the staff were very visibly upset and sympathetic to our grief. They even went as far to prepare him beautifully for a post-autopsy viewing and final goodbye to our baby. The kindness and empathy that was shown to my family went above and beyond expectations. It is clear that the entire staff dearly loves all animals. On two other separate occasions, I brought my two senior Aussies to RRAC. Both times they were in very critical condition; one from a dog attack and the other seriously ill with pancreatitis. The staff and vet acted very quickly, in both cases, to treat and save the lives of my beloved dogs. For this I will be eternally grateful. For those of you on here who are saying "they are only after your money" and "they overcharge". I can say unequivocally that this is not true. In fact., there have been several instances that the vet has not charged us for some tests saying "I'm not going to charge you for these tests, because I did them to simply make myself feel better". Dr. Harrington, Dr Kanty, and Shelby, are simply some of the best, and most professional people I know. I will continue to bring my dogs to RRAC, as well as recommend to others. I love these guys

This place is the worst Vet office I've ever been to. The building reeks of cat urine, the staff seem friendly but won't answer any question without consulting vet. So if you have a few question about cost, boarding, or any other simple questions they run back and forth to the vet. But the worst thing about this vet is they scam you into several visits for everything so they can take your cash. DO NOT trust these idiots!

We have been taking our Dobermans here for the last 9 years. They remember yiu by name and our dogs are always happy to see them. It take a special kind of person to take care of our babies and we would go anywhere else.

I don't know what this other person is talking about because A) pets are expensive and B) have they not been to the clay Duval emergency vet? Talk about expensive. Canty is great, honest, and will talk to you straight. In an example of honest modesty, we brought my pit there to have surgery and rather than just do the surgery, get paid and not care, he told us that our pit was coughing and didn't want to risk putting him under anesthesia with respiratory issues. They take great care of us and I rely on Dr. Canty's expertise.
