Let me begin by saying that the people who work at Great Clips are super nice and great at their job. The purpose of this review is some constructive criticism about their policy of taking people who check in online ahead of people who have been waiting no long how long their wait has been. Today, I had waited 20 minutes and I was next to be called. Then someone walked in who had checked in online and they were taken immediately and I was told I was going to be next. The problem with that is I would be next unless someone else who checked in online came in, then I would get bumped again. I have checked in online in the past, and it usually tells me how long the wait is. I assume that means how many people have checked in before you. Since I checked in, and waited I would have thought I was ahead of anyone who came in. It just doesn't make sense to me to have someone who has been waiting keep on waiting until no one who used the online check out is in the store. Hopefully that makes sense.

Somewhat disappointed with my haircut this evening. I had moved to the area fairly recently and had been a fan of Great Clips near my prior home. It was time to get a haircut as my hair had mushroomed out excessively, and I had gotten a coupon in the mail with a good deal for a haircut on it, so I went in. Now, I've never had a huge amount of difficulty getting a haircut before. I go in, I say something to the effect of "I just want a basic haircut, most of it off" and they've always been able to do it. The hairstylist I had tonight had no idea how to do a haircut with those instructions. So I tried telling her, "just cut off three quarters of it" and that got her thinking that I was asking to cut off three quarters of an inch. No, I've got so much hair on my head that three quarters of an inch wouldn't be most of it! In any event, it was extremely rough trying to get the haircut, and it probably didn't result in as much being cut off as I'd like but I just didn't want to drag the experience out any longer. After that fairly rough beginning to the service, she tried to turn it into a sales pitch for various products on the shelves. I wasn't exactly very receptive at that point. At least she honored the coupon.

This was my last time giving this place a chance! Juana was great! Hope to see her again! Those others there some how jacked up my short hair cut! It's not rocket science ladies, just ask Juana! Thank u Juana! Will be back to see only u again!

My son had his hair cut here by Juana and it was horrible. Poor kid told her he wanted it cut all over the same length and she cut the front part of his hair but not the back. He looked like he had bangs. He was so embarrassed with the hair cut that he had me fix it and I'm not even a hairdresser. He refuses to go back here and I can't say I blame him. Once you have had a bad hair cut, it scars you unfortunately. I even asked Juana if he told her he wanted it cut all over the same length and she said he told her to cut it all over the same length. Just in case she didn't understand him. So I don't know what the issue was other than just not caring about her work. So sad and disappointing.

Had a great visit with my daughter. She needed a haircut before the holidays, and they were able to get her in. We walked in and were able to have the hair cut start within 15 minutes. Friendly staff and good suggestions for her hair care.
