“Flamingo Road Nursery is much more than an excellent place to purchase all your landscaping supplies, flowering trees and plants, pottery and such! This business reached out to the community, during the pandemic, encouraging us to come with our masks on to walk, view the flowers and butterflies, and enjoy the serenity of nature, with no obligation to buy items. Since I love this place anyway, I went several times to soak in the sun and fresh air among the vibrant blooms and whimsical sculptures. It was a welcome diversion during our worse Covid days. Of course, I did add some orchids to my collection—they are all from Flamingo Road Nursery, and my basil and rosemary plants are full and beautiful! I need to expand my herb garden, so we will make a trip this weekend! In addition to plants, they have a diverse array of gardening items, pots, wind chimes, all of which make great holiday gifts for your gardening enthusiasts. I love this establishment and thank them for all they do for our community. Don’t forget the Farmer’s Market and restaurant! Great sandwiches and pastries!”

“I love this place. I went there when I bought my property in Hollywood in 2001, due to poor suitable employment in South Florida. I moved away for 16 years having Fl as a second home as a rental. I am back in South Florida and I rebuilding everything even my garden. A young lady helped with my questions and other requirements and she was very professional. The man who helped to put the 10 soil bags in my SUV also was very professional in his Spanish accent I recognized a hard-working Colombian. Kudos to this place. They are marvelous.”

“I have been working closely with the team at Garmizo's (Jaime, Irwin and Russell) since we bought our house in Davie two years ago...and they helped me to pick out and plant two very nice trees in our front yard. They are far and away THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL nursery that I have ever worked with...if you have ABSOLUTELY ANY NEED TIED TO TREES, FLOWERS, SHRUBS, ROCKS, MULCH, ETC...you would be crazy to go anywhere else. They are fairly priced, honest, and back up their work (have been back three times to address trimming issues re: the trees)...and never charging me...just the BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!!!!”

“What a great nursery. Family run which I love and VERY knowledgeable staff. I brought a piece of a bush at my house I was looking to add to a few bare spots and they knew it the second they saw it. They didn’t have that particular bush but went the extra mile to contact not 1 but 2 other local places to see if they had it for me. I truly appreciate the effort. While there we walked around and they have many beautiful plants to choose from. I bought some beautiful yellow ground cover sedums. Pricing is very fair. Will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone. Also love the local pup who greeted us upon our arrival :)”

“This cute little shop is located in Miami Shores Village. Next to an ice cream store and a gift shop adds toth e quaint of the neighborhood's already beautiful chill small town vibe. There are pots, grape wood, fertilizers, and beautiful little plants for your house. Terrific gifts here. I like to come here and just spend a little bit of time amongst the green and see what kind of new plants and pots I can add to my collection of greenery in my home.”

“I found this nursery that is a short drive for me and I feel so lucky! A place where I can browse and add a few new plants to my collection. They have a large selection of indoor plants which is what I mostly own. The staff is also friendly and willing to help. I went home with two new plants but I will definitely be back for more. ☺️”

“Coming to Hialeah is always an adventurous trek, it's like entering a parallel dimension of Alice in Wonderland, except no one speaks English. Being a child of Christ, I'm always wearing my cross when entering this land of Cuban Voodoo. I just happened to be in the area today when I saw Botanica Olocun(Olokun). The name Olocun piqued my interest as I've only seen a few south Florida Botanicas with Orisha names, but I've never seen one with Olocun. Olocun aka Poseidon is one of my favorite gods. Being a child of Christ, I took the cross off my neck and held in my hand as I walked into this place of sin, witchcraft and devilry. As I entered I could hear the whispers of devils, I witnessed the evils of Africa and the sins of Arawak Indians that the bringers of Christ had failed to fully extinguish. This place is huge and it's packed with statues, life-sized statues, candles, magical perfumes, sacred plants, sacred stones, stick and resin incense, orisha vases, many books on magic/occult/orisha, spiritual & African soaps, spirit animated things, and sacred wood. In reality, they carry way too many things to list. It's a one-stop shop for brujeras, santeros, sorcerers, warlocks, witches, shamans, wiccans and spiritualists, it's basically a glorified depot for all those who oppose the tenets of Christ. For those seeking guidance in thier lives, they also have a private room in the back for spiritual readings. I ended up buying a blue candle, and a couple of Nigerian dudu osun soaps. Surprisingly, they could speak English, so before I left, being concerned about their after-life, I inquired if they've ever heard of Jesus.”

“Went in to this location which quite frankly is usually a mission. But today was totally different, we were greeted by someone but she didn't know how to operate the machine to cut the blinds she went to get somebody else after several minutes a young lady walked by and asked if we needed help and we said yes. She said no problem give me a moment and within 30 seconds she was back with gloves and proceeded to cut those blinds like a professional. I am a handyman by trade and she knew what she was doing and she did it perfectly, Julia B. is a breath of fresh air she was courteous, kind, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She handled our issues with the blinds and made sure we had everything we needed to install them. Home Depot is very lucky to have Julia B as an employee.Julia gave me a whole new outlook on this location which is good because it's close to my grandmothers house so instead of making that trip to Coconut Grove I will now be giving this location more of my business. “Bill is a very nice guy that loves trees. He has a day job so it is obvious that he grows mango and avocado trees out of interest. This is great because he is very knowledgeable about the trees and likes to share his experience with you. I bought a nice mango tree from him at a very reasonable price and he walked me through the steps of planting it and caring for it. He even gave some special fertilizer for free that i needed to use immediately after planting the tree. Overall if you need mango or avocado trees go and talk to him. You will be glad you did.”
