Took a bag full of clothing and shoes. Was pleasantly surprised at them purchasing 28 items. They were clear on the brands and styles they were looking for. I dropped off items to be evaluated and came back an hour and half later so was in store as they sorted through it all. Will go again. Yes it isn't as much money as if had sold it online myself but definitely saved me time and energy. It was a though I got paid for cleaning out my closet.

It is a waste of time, do not go here to sell your clothes. These people are scammers, they tried to give me $4 for 4 pieces of clothing when they were all brand new and in total about $120. I had brought in a huge bag of clothes from forever 21 and American eagle. Mind you they say it can't be older than 2 years and trendy which they were not even a year old and super trendy things that 20 year olds and even teens can wear. I DONT RECOMMEND WHATSOEVER.

The experience here selling clothes wasn't the best . I guess everyone has a business to run .. I visited here to see what type of clothes they sell and none branded clothes . I checked it out before bringing clothes to sell . I brought Michael kors jackets , brand new Nike leggings , American eagle , and Hollister jeans .. all since I didn't get to wear and had to try to sell them unfortunately. They said "oh even though they are new .. they have small rips in the front" lol well that's how they are . I prefer to donate my clothes for people who actually need them then sell them to this place . Never again .

Brought in some clothes and left them there as requested. Got a call to return to the store by 7p. I asked if they were going to buy anything because I had a PT appointment at 6:30p. She wouldn't answer the question even when I reminded her that I was the lady with the cane. I canceled my PT appointment only to go to the store to find out that they weren't going to buy anything. I called the manager to ask her as to why I couldn't be told that there was no need for me to return that day but that I had to return by the following morning. She blamed it on how it's hard to find good employees and told me that she would follow up. She never did so now I can tell why the employees could care less. I guess that it is better to buy than sell.

From the moment I reached out for help, the team at Platos Closet Miramar exhibited exceptional professionalism and a genuine desire to assist. Their promptness in addressing my concerns, coupled with their knowledgeable and friendly demeanor, truly set a gold standard for customer service. They didn’t just resolve my issue; they went the extra mile to ensure I felt valued and satisfied. I couldn’t be happier with the level of support I received. Kudos to Sara for their outstanding commitment to their customers!

Second time visiting this location and both times they were not accepting clothing. Today is Sunday and the sales associate said they aren’t buying because the manager is not there… I worked for Plato’s closet for almost 10 years in the tampa Bay Area in upper management, why would the manager be the one sorting through clothes? The manager should be managing the store and employees… why are other staff members not trained buyers? You should be able to go to Plato’s closet 7 days a week to sell clothing as that is one of the main points of the store. Hopefully they can get their staff trained to better serve customers.

I recently popped into Plato's Closet, and it was such a great time! Right from the get-go, the place had this neat and tidy vibe, and I was practically surrounded by this awesome mix of stylish yet affordable clothes. If, like me, you're all about keeping up with the latest trends without emptying your wallet, Plato's Closet is your jam. What I really loved was their collection of pre-loved clothes. The stuff they had on display was top-notch, and you could tell they pick out only the coolest items for their shelves. I snagged some brand-name pieces and stumbled upon some really unique stuff – all at prices that totally caught me off guard (in the best way). The young staff at Plato's Closet deserves a special mention for their friendly and helpful demeanor. They were more than willing to assist me in finding the perfect pieces and offered valuable fashion advice.

This place is great! They have a huge selection of all kinds of clothes and the most friendly staff I’ve encountered in a long time. I got better deals than I was in expecting. I’ll definitely be back!

My experience with this establishment was very unsatisfactory. I came in with clothes that I was interested in selling and was told that it would be a two hour wait for them to go through all my items and that they would call me back once completed. I received a phone call back 2 hours later (as promised) and was told that it was time to retrieve my items. I was told that they were only able to take one of my items, and that they couldn't take everything else because either they were SHEIN or had stains on the items. I completely understand them not taking the stained items and that's my fault for not fully inspecting the clothes before adding them to my bag, however it would've been really helpful if they would have communicated to me the list of brands/items that they do not accept before going through the hassle of driving there round trip + dealing with the 2 hour wait. I'm honestly just super frustrated with the amount of time I wasted to practically get nothing in return. Please save yourself the trouble and don't bother wasting your time here.

Clean and great shopping location!! The staff/ customer service was extremely helpful and especially helped out with my shopping experience!! Not to mention the perfect quality of each clothing item almost as if they were straight from the store for 75% off of the original price that is also so nicely and easily organized by size.

Firstly- the younger staff members were all extremely helpful and nice when I called ahead to ask if they were still accepting buy-backs for clothes, so thank you to those wonderful ladies. HOWEVER, I was very taken back by the poor customer service and communication quality by the older female staff member who referred to the clothes I brought inas “Walmart brand”. Though there is absolutely NOTHING WRONG with wearing Walmart bought clothes- I was extremely disappointed and offended by the assumption (as nothing I brought in to sell to their storefront was purchased at Walmart). I sadly ended up putting back the clothes I was intending to purchase because of this interaction and don’t intend to return to this location.

Don’t waste your time, The staff are very kind, but, it is not worth it to sell them clothes, the store don’t appreciate the value of the clothes, they are cheap when they buy, but, they are expensive when they sell, I should have donate to goodwill or Salvation Army instead, atleast they don’t sell over price second hand used clothes, They don’t pay more than $7 for a piece of clothing not matter how new or good is the clothes condition!.It is much better to sell online or just give it away for free!!!.

i came to this store to shop and to sell my clothes. the young lady and owner that helped me out were so nice and explained everything about the selling process. Their prices are fair and it’s always so much better than just donating to goodwill.Shopping in the store was also great, they have so many name brand items in great condition. I’ll definitely be coming back here!

Incredibly rude staff. Don’t bother wasting your time, they will not call you and then proceed to blame it on you for losing your clothes and money! Horrible customer service.

My daughter and I visited Plato's Closet on Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, FL, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We dropped off clothes for exchange on October 21st, but no receipt was provided, and my daughter wasn't informed of its necessity. We expected a call once an employee reviewed the items, but none came. When it occurred to us that we never heard back from any employee, we decided to visit the store to inquire about the status of her clothing exchange. That's when we met Penelope. From the beginning, her tone was confrontational and rude. She was condescending as we tried to explain our situation. When I voiced my displeasure with her tone, she responded in kind, which escalated the situation further. Instead of addressing our concerns, she repeatedly ignored us to attend to other customers. We didn't intend to cause any commotion; we simply wanted to know what happened to my daughter's clothes. As a CPA who deals with businesses regularly, I've never encountered such an unpleasant experience. It's crucial for Plato's Closet to address this issue promptly, as I doubt this is an isolated incident.I sincerely hope that corrective action is taken to prevent future customers from facing similar situations. Our confidence in returning to Plato's Closet for shopping largely depends on how this matter is handled.
