It is like an HOA. There are a lot of rules, but they don't apply to the staff.
The staff is lazy. Don't expect help after 2pm because they are at the pool.
If you rent a room, you won't get cleaning & fresh linens. I stayed for 30 days & had to request sheets & that didn't happen for 3 days. The room wasn't cleaned before or during my stay.
The air conditioner was full of mold (& I pulled a dead gecko out of it.)
I came home with a bronchial infection from the mold.
A lot of people have left after the new management & price increases but the people that are left in the park are very friendly.
Also, the sign says service animals are allowed- but they really aren't.

I live here year-round and have had 100% positive experiences in every way! It's not really a "resort," but a well-managed RV Park & Motel. I researched over 100 rural RV parks south of Orlando, and this one is definitely best for spaciousness, large trees, quiet & peacefulness. Any negative experiences described by others online originated, IMO, with a handful of seasonal guests where un-deserved "drama" may have been exaggerated toward staff. All staff members have been courteous & professional. (Note: online photos contributed to Google by individuals may be very outdated.)
Nearby activities: The mostly paved 110-mile Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail is directly across the highway + the 18,000-acre Fisheating Creek WMA is just down the road. Both offer cycling, walking wildlife & bird watching + free tent camping. Three FREE county boat ramps are within 1-4 miles of Aruba RV Park.
Noteworthy details: Photos do NOT do it justice -- a hidden gem! RV spaces are larger than most AND the park has wonderful Oak and Palm Trees. large Tiki Pavilion beside Pool, Rec Hall, Cards-Crafts Room, Exercise Room, Laundry & two very clean shower rooms. Park is directly across from Lake Okeechobee, where magnificent sunrises appear almost daily above the western lake marsh. This is the Glades County community of Lakeport.

We have spent the winter here and have had a great experience. The grounds are nicely landscaped along with being well kept and spacious. Nice mix of winter snowbirds and people passing through.Canal access to Big O if you like to fish. Clean restrooms and new laundry facilities along with a nicely heated pool. They also have karaoke and bingo in the winter months on a weekly basis.

In the middle of nowhere. 25 miles to a grocery store. Many full time and seasonal occupants. Overpriced for the amenities. WiFi is useless. Nice people though.

Beware! That is all I can say. Read reviews from sites prices way out of line for what the park is. Northlake estates is less and modernized. Managers are unfriendly. 1700.00 increase 2yrs beware

The management does not welcome campers to their campgrounds. instead they greet you with don't dare to not comply with the rules that change daily or you will be evictees. now I'm all about complying with rules. as long as they are applied to all equally. . The owners need to fire regional and local managers and start a new. The park was only half full this season and I imagine less will come next year due to their management style. They don't get that that are in the people business. i don't recommend anyone wasting their vacation time on this place.

Gem of a park. Staff was friendly and helpful when we showed up early with only a phone call and no reservation and were significantly delayed checking out. Very well kept, clean and quiet. The on-site restaurant has good food. Bit of a drive to town for groceries and such, but watch the canals along the way for gators. Would definitely stay again.

The park is way too expensive for what few amenities they offer, rules seem to vary from campsite to campsite, they have no event coordinator so if someone decides not to have, say, pool aerobics then your out of luck. Regional director seems more intent on running folks away than making the park welcoming. Office tell campers one thing then tell others a completely different story. Park does seem to be kept well groomed so thats my reason for giving it a second star. Definitely would not recommend this park for a stay of anything other than a nightly stopover.
