Stayed at the Glades RV Resort for a couple months. Nice place, great people!! Didn't have a problem with anyone.. well the golf course ranger is kinda a 8===D~~ lol Marina could use some help. But they're constantly improving on the park so I'm sure that's in the works. If your a decent human I'm sure you'll get along well here.Rooms: Cabins are decent... 110$ a night during season.Restrooms: Restrooms by the activity center were nice and clean. Bathrooms by the library.... ehhDog-friendliness: Nice little fenced in area first the dogs to run about freely.

It hurts me to give them a good review - once I do that, it tends to get harder to get a reservation back, everyone books them up!! It is a great park with a lot of activities and a very good community of people. We Full-timed there and really enjoyed the atmosphere!

We took a cross state trip by boat from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa and stopped that Glades for a night halfway. When we arrived, we were greeted by Captain Rick and Theresa. They helped us tie up and assisted in getting us directions to our night accommodations. We stopped at Grumps for apps and beers which was excellent. Very Friendly staff/patrons, cold beer, and food. Rick kept an eye on our boat overnight and added an extra line to keep it safe. This place is very remote lots of wildlife, gators, turtles, and manatees. No Cab or Uber service available however there is cell and WIFI. If you want a friendly place in the wilderness away from everyone and everything this is it.

Large sites, clean restrooms/showers, pool is nice with a lot of area to relax and enjoy the weather. Seasonal and transient travelers were all great. Felt like home. Staff is helpful for the most part. Looking forward to coming back.Only down fall is Cell coverage isn’t great for Verizon and AT&T and the local internet provider isn’t that good either for the cost. So working from the RV was a little difficult, but do able.

We have stayed here a couple of times a few years ago. Didn't come back because the place was starting to look bad. However, we heard that a lot of work had been done so we gave it another try. We have a 42ft diesel pusher and had a back-in site. Backed in and a few feet away from hookups the two back tires just sank into soft sand up to the rims. There was no way for us to get out on our own because the sand piled up all around the tires. The Glades sent over maintenance who was just a single older man in a golf cart who, obviously, couldn't help. The Glades couldn't even provide the number of a towing company. When I said I expected to be repaid for any tow costs, I was told no because it wasn't their fault!! Finally got a tow through our insurance company and left as soon as we could. Of course, The Glades doesn't credit back to your credit card, you have to wait until checks are cut. Never coming back here again.

We checked in for a two nite stay last week... we stayed in cabin #5. on our 2nd nite. at 9 p.m. we had a power surge and the a.c. crapped out. Within 15 minutes...mike'l the maintance man was at our door...and 30 minutes later we were moved over to #3... EVERYONE from Fran on reservations to mike'l the maintance man...were wonderful....the property itself was quite nice and the permanent residents friendly. I would recommend this property to everyone.FINALLY...we went on our way .When we got home 7 days later we had a refund ck. for our 2nd nite stay. More businesses could learn much from this company.

We didn't realize, we couldn't go into the marina. My husband had just purchased a boat from the East Coast and was going down the Ochechobee waterway and I wanted to join him for the last day to go through the locks and enjoy a day on the boat. It was the only Marina before the lock. My son brought me to drop me off, my husband came into the Marina area and immediately someone started yelling at him. Then that man(I assume a worker) came to my son and I and threatened to call the police. All we wanted to do was get on the boat and go. He said finally, if you pay$10, you can go. That wasn't a problem, if he'd calmly told us that we needed to pay a docking fee, it would have been fine. But this Marina is so junky. There were at least 3 huge boats completely smashed but it looked like people were still living in them. A junky marina.

Each campground I review has its own unique accommodations and natural resources. This large well maintained campground in Moore Haven is on the river and close to Lake Okachobee.Pros: large sites with cement pad, paved roads, fishing, boat launch, activities that were socially distanced, heated swimming pool, 2 restaurants, great golf course. The people were so friendly!Cons: face masks were not used by the seasonal people, the water out of the faucet is yellow (do not drink)MEH: many seasonal and long term living options for reasonable price, lots of golf carts, dog park could have better fencing and gatesI will come back!

We stopped there on one of are many travels. Thinking well we were tried what the heck let’s try it out. Comes to my surprise it’s beautiful. Very friendly and very clean. So many things to do. From gold to kayaking around the man made resort. It’s like a big lazy Susan water park. And they have a beautiful swimming pool. They even have a garden that they made to plant vegetables in to share. Very nice and quite. Highly Recommend this place.

Reasonable and all in one places to camp or live. Great food entertainment and golf?9 holes and what a great course, then jump on the boat and going fishing or cruising around.Just can't find any campground that is reasonably priced and has all the above amenities.

We went to the Glades to buy a used RV and truck and ended up staying for a month. It was all we hoped it would be and we're sorry we could not enjoy all of the activities they usually offer because of Covid. My husband loved the pickle ball courts and the two restaurants on site were absolutely stellar, especially Crumbs where we had many breakfast and dinners. The one time we had pizza we were very satisfied as well. RV years were mostly from Ohio and Michigan and a few Canadians, but that contingent was largely absent due to Covid. All the campers we met were friendly and helpful and the site was impeccable. The front office was especially helpful for providing notary public services for our vehicle purchases. My husband was wild about the pickle ball courts and the great folks that he played with. It was an especially good value for a month and even more so for a year. The pool was lovely and we looked forward to the Wednesday bake sales and farmers market. We would love to go back and might even consider wintering there next year. My only observation as a new RVEr was that the population At Florida RV parks in general was very Caucasian. There were no or very few Hispanics, African-Americans and Asians at the location. It was definitely LGBT friendly. Servers at Crumbs Country restaurant did not wear masks but outside dining was available and very comfortable. The overall belief of the RVers was that Covid had already come through the park and everyone simply distanced or rode by on their golf carts. Almost no one wore a mask.
