I would not recommend this place to anyone. They had our truck for 3 months. Made us buy a new battery when we had just replaced it in July. Wasn't even our battery that we bought in the truck when we put in another new one. Broke parts when he put the dash back together. Do yourself a favor and don't use this shop.

After a week, he removed a brand new alarm system, he cut all the wires, system was trashed, tried to charge me over $500 for a electrical short that he couldn't find. Another company found broken wires under seat in 5 mins. Never use this company.

I called about having my truck A/C serviced as it was blowing on the warm side. They were busy and the person I talked to promised to call me back with an appointment time. He called me back the same day. The mechanic gave me two options on the service and took time to explain each option. I watched him as he worked. He was knowledgeable and friendly. My A/C works like new. The price was good. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this shop.

My path to trying Brault Auto Electric was an odd one. We recently bought a late-model Dodge Caravan at a dealership. Our first auto purchase in 15 years. We didn't get it at a Dodge dealer though, but rather a local dealer whose name I probably shouldn't say in this review (but it rhymes with Can Spamaway). Then we had a hitch installed at our long-term garage we use for service. A while after the hitch was installed (sorry, did I mention this will be a longish review?) I noticed the left rear turn signal wasn't working. A little research revealed the turn signal assembly had LED lights that rarely burnt out, so it wasn't a simple bulb replacement. We brought it back to where the hitch was installed and they replaced the wiring harness for the hitch, under a parts warranty, but, you guessed it, on the way home we saw it still wasn't working. Bummer, right? To make a long story slightly less long, knowing how wiring problems can drop unsuspecting general mechanics into a rabbit hole, and not wanting to give the hitch installer another crack at the problem, I decided to look for a repair garage with good reviews and a focus on electrical work, such as one like Brault which has the words "auto electric" in their name. I called and they were able to get me in the next business day, which was sweet because even though we are all used to people not signaling when they drive, I didn't like the tailgaters behind me not knowing when I was turning left. He informed me there would be a $100 minimum charge, perhaps to deflect a legion of people who only need bulbs replaced, or to ensure that the customer won't grow faint and whine if it isn't a quick repair. Whatever, I said yes. I tried not to visualize my van's wiring hanging down from engine to muffler with no success in finding the problem, and I was relieved to get a mid-afternoon call saying it was fixed. He said that it took a while to trace the issue and indeed it was related to the hitch installation, in case I wanted to pass that fact on to the installer. He further said he couldn't imagine why they tied the hitch wiring in with the turn signal wiring; sort of like how a hair stylist always criticizes the person who gave you your last haircut. So anyway it cost that $100 minimum charge and no more, and I left there a happy camper. I would not hesitate to use them again. Plus the gentleman I spoke to and settled up with was born in my home state of Maine. Cool beans. I forgot to take a picture but if you are worried about driven by Brault, it is a distinct dark blue building. Can't miss it, as the old timers like to say.
