Hours: Food Factory & Bakery is a very large, hidden store offering a huge display of Hispanic food from many different countries. The cafeteria-style service involves telling staff what you want, with the price determined by weight, providing excellent value and very generous portions. The food is extremely delicious, authentic South American cuisine, described as amazing, out of this world, and excellent tasting. Popular items include very tasty sopa vieja with yuca and rice, tamales, and really good Cuban sandwiches with great bread and fresh meats. The Cuban coffee is amazing, with recommendations like the coladito. The bakery section features a lovely display of desserts, pastries, and cakes, including facturas con dulce de leche and guava pastries. The place is very clean and the staff is great, patient, and very nice, even with potential language barriers. Some notes mention a credit card surcharge and that pastries can be messy, but the overall experience is highly recommended for its wonderful selection and excellent value.
