I rented a car from Hertz in Orlando, Florida drove to the Napes location the same day and returned the car. Hertz is now saying I returned the car 8 days later (I was no longer in the state of Florida) and being charged an enormous fee because of the incompetence that Naples Hertz showed. I rent cars all the time for work and never have I had such an awful experience than I have with dealing with this car rental/return.

I don’t leave reviews often but this place definitely deserves one. Called 10x times attempting to speak to a local agent. Kept ringing and no answer. Last attempt, they picked up and hung up as quickly. After reading the rest of the reviews here, as a President Circle member, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I’ve been trying to reach irbe. For 3 months. She said she got everything figured out. That she would call me by end of day if not the following day. Took 3 weeks to reach her of constant calling. She agreed that the issue was on their end and now I’m being charged $4000. After 3 weeks of then trying to get her to call me she accidentally answered, said I got it all done and taken care of you are good to go. Finally thank god right. Nope yesterday I got a bigger fine and bigger bill but because it isn’t her money or her life she could care less I asked for her to call me today and yesterday and guess what she’s so busy!!!! Ya know because it’s a really demanding job for her. What does she do there ??? Corporate needs to reevaluate her as an entire individual. I hateeeeeeee this entire company due to just dealing with her and her work ethic. But not only that when hertz gets sued by me you can blame the lawsuit on her. She’s truly the root cause of problems for this entire company.i also hope someone from corporate sees this so you can listen to the voice recording of her admitting fault and I’m being penalized

Have never been treated so rudely when renting a car. Gentlemen at the counter moved so slow and clearly cared nothing at all about customer service. My car was not ready despite receiving an agreement and he wouldn’t even give me an estimate on how long it would take. Just dismissed me. Have been a Hertz customer for ages, so many good experiences even in bad circumstances, but here in Naples, rent with Avis! They are kind, helpful, and welcoming.

Went to counter asked why they charged me 416.00 instead of 116.00, he said i cant help you!!! What!!! And i work here. He said call this number, horrible cust service. Use Go rental way better!!!

This place is way too slow. All of the employees or a lack there of are slow and don’t care about the line stretching down the hall. It’s like all of the employees are new or it’s there first day… obviously that isn’t the case and I’ve been coming here weekly at times for a rental… I have to say everytime I go they are slower than before. If you rent from dollar, thrifty or Hertz they are all the same company… just be prepared to wait a long time… these people have no sense of urgency.

Waited 45 minutes to get in my "ready car" to find out it had 1/4 gas in it. This place BLOWS and I recommend anywhere other than here.

Worst experience at a car rental ever. I wish I got his name, but the man that helped us seemed to be the manager, he had completely white hair and was an absolute prick. He was extremely rude to us the entire time and seemed to not comprehend that the internet exists when he asked us if we’d like X car and when we told him we already know what it looks like and don’t want it, he refused to let us do anything but go walk out to the lot and look at it. When we then once again refused the car after the 5 minute walk he seemed visibly irritated that we wouldn’t take his car he tried to push on us because he didn’t want to give us any sedans.When we finally got him to give us a Kia K5, which we once again had to do the 5 minute walk to take a look at, it had damage to it that wasn’t noted when it was returned apparently. This once again shows the negligence of this establishment. However, the key contributing horrible factor to this hour long car rental misery was dealing with the man behind the counter. This man does not treat his customers with any respect and should not be working in the customer service industry.

Do not rent an electric vehicle under any circumstance. Sat here for 45 minutes had no charged cars after watching a stream of people who rented gas cars walk up and leave went up to the counter and just gave up. Rented a Tesla wasted an hour of our day and their fix was little Kia thing. Horrible experience never again!!!

This experience seemed to me like a chapter of a funny movie, I had a reservation for a large SUV, and they had no car to give me, nothing that I could use, I made the reservation a week in advance, so what is it for? a reservation if not going to have what I have reserved? They told me they didn't have cars, so what's your business? I lost money, time and patience, I had to rent a car in the office next to them, more expensive than what I had supposedly reserved with you, but they did have cars to rent, despite the fact that I did not have a reservation at the momento, AViS rental car, saved me the day of the bad deal I did with Hertz

I rented a Tesla on Friday. I come to Naples frequently to visit my family. Always rent from HERTZ since they are the only car rental company who has a Tesla fleet. And since that’s what I drive at home, I like to rent them as well. However, this past Friday was a disaster. It started at the “GOLD MEMBER” Kiosk. The agents appeared to be confused and nobody knew what was going on. They finally found me a Tesla. As I was leaving the lot I noticed the AC was not working. So before I left I parked and asked someone to take a look. He “reset” the car and the AC started working. Unfortunately, 10 mins down 75 south the AC was pure HOT air. It was after 5 pm. The traffic going North back to airport was horrific so decided to deal with it the next day. Maybe Naples airport could swap it out. I called customer service as soon as I could that evening. The gentleman at the Naples airport put me on hold for 15 mins then hung up on me. Finally the next day I get a hold of an agent in Naples. They don’t have another Tesla to swap it out. So I called the RSW international airport where I rented from. NOBODY EVER answered the phone. I left multiple messages. NOBODY ever got back to me. I decided to drive to Naples airport since it isn’t as far as RSW to switch out the car for a gas vehicle. I had the car a total of 24 hours and never used it except to drive it back to Naples airport. They charged me for a full day. No refund. I ended up renting another TESLA from Avis. I saw one in the lot. They just happened to have one. Hertz charged me $89 bucks for a car without AC in the hottest month ever in FLORIDA! Unacceptable! And they get away with it. How messed up is that?! There even an error message on the panel saying the car needed to be serviced.

This Hertz location is small with limited vehicles. They need to do better with the customer service, rental agreement breakdown, and walkthrough of the vehicle. Other than that, I may rent again because of the cheaper rates.

Do not rent from here. Mercedes Benz sent my husband and I here for a loaner car which should have been 100% covered. On October 28, 2022 Hertz charged us $125 . Almost 6 months later this company has yet refunded our account. Countless emails and phone calls have been made and we keep getting the run around. "You should receive a refund withing 7-10 business" I could go into details but long story short this company has no regard for customer satisfaction and at this point are just plain liars. Aside from this the first car given to us from Hertz was FILTHY. They had to switch it out for us. Never have I been given a dirty rental from Enterprise, Avis or Alamo.

Terrible! We booked an elite car (Tesla) as a surprise and got an Altima. Worst part was there were Teslas available. Also, picking up the car took nearly an hour. Go elsewhere.

Mr. Davis??? Why are you working here? You need a job where you don’t need customer service, because your customer service skills are 0. You need to be retrained or moved to another department. You helped 3 people ahead of me and you got the same feedback:”why is he so rude?” Other than that, everyone was okay.
