My husband and I moved in almost a year ago now and I can say, we've never came across a staff who are unwilling to reason or own up to their mistakes. Mistakes that caused financial loss. The time has come to break our lease and we received a notice on our door that gives us the option to either renew your lease or advise the office of your notice to vacate. The paperwork listed showed we were to supply them a 60 day notice if we were to not renew our lease. We had gotten the notice AFTER the 60 day notice to vacate and they now want to us to pay liquidation damage costs plus our normal rent for not advising we weren't going to renew. We explained the notice was received after what should have been the grace period, to let them know we're not renewing and that they were mistaken and should have provided the letter sooner so we can let them know ahead of time. Not only was the notice delivered to us on our door step after the 60 days notice, but the notice was drawn up 3 days before and was never delivered the same day but instead 3 days later. They knew exactly what they were doing by waiting to supply the notice. It was to catch us in their trap to pay more money. The women in the office then tried arguing and saying the notice was posted on the portal. My husband and I did not receive any email or text notification that we had a new document in the portal what so ever but they are definitely quick to chase you for rent money. Quite frankly, if someone doesn't have a phone and you're looking to move here, good luck. They'll blame you for not having access to the portal. Ridiculous. We had such an awful experience between the office staff at La Costa to their district firm. We tried to reason with them and they would not budge. They just kept saying, per your lease agreement, per the portal, per this, per that. We do not recommend moving here if you're looking to get screwed over financially in the end.

I rarely write reviews, but La Costa Apartments really deserves to be praised. I have been living here with my husband since 2019, and that is a seriously long period of time, so I can realistically comment on the living conditions in this complex.
The location is perfect. The settlement itself is very nicely designed and arranged. Always clean, tidy, with lots of greenery, somehow romantic. A lot has been done in terms of the reconstruction of the settlement itself, on the areas used by all tenants, which are of public importance. The whole complex got a new look, which is really wonderful.
However, what makes life beautiful here are people. I really have to take this opportunity to praise Vanessa and the maintenance team (Vincent and other gentleman who maintained our apartment for years), who once again demonstrated teamwork and efficiency at the highest level today. And to thank them for their hard work and efforts to meet the demands of their tenants. And let me not forget to mention how kind and patient everyone is, which is truly commendable.
Five stars for you, ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you for all you do every single day.

We moved in less than a month ago and honestly, we’ve loved it so far. I had some doubts at first because of a few negative reviews I read, but our experience has been completely different — this is truly a great place to live in Naples. The office team has been super helpful and kind since day one, even before we moved in. Maintenance is great too — friendly and quick to help. We feel really good living here, the place looks great, the amenities are nice, and the location is perfect, close to everything. So glad we chose La Costa!

My experience with them was at the time of breaking my lease. On top of the 2 month lease breakage they demanded an additional month’s rent.
I tried to reason with them however as other reviewers have pointed out , they were rude and started threatening with collection and damage to credit history.
Luckily I had a legal plan, through which I sent a notice to their head office and then the leasing office backed down to 2 months rent.
In summary I would recommend to seek a second opinion if you are breaking a lease and are being charged extra.

4 days before moving in I was told I could no longer move into the apartment i had already signed a lease for and had to deal with changing everything last minute to a different one. The new apartment I was given was infested with roaches and they are getting inside my cat’s food bowl so he was unable to eat for the 3 days of living there. Their solution was to “feed the cat on the balcony” so roaches wouldn’t get into his food bowl. Not only was this not helpful but this does not solve the roaches infesting my kitchen and fridge. I have received no help regarding this issue whatsoever.

Don’t move here unless you want to live here for 4 years and get charged to replace everything in your unit when you move even if you take good care of the apartment. Greedy ownership that doesn’t want to take care of anything. We got charged to replace the carpet in our unit and got
Told “carpet is supposed to last 5 years” when i know for a fact we did not have brand new carpet when we moved in. Carpet was not left in terrible condition at all and our unit was pretty clean still got a move out fee of over $1,000 lol

Ugh. Terrible place. Dirty nasty. We were in there for 4 months. Constantly had problems with breathing and headaches and a trip to the ER with a respiratory infection. Finally had enough and decided to do a little investigation by taking off the air condition wall vent covers. Lo and behold what did I find. Mold mold mold. See pictures

I would not even bother moving into this apartment complex/community. If you do decide to lease an apartment here at La Costa, make sure you take pictures of every little paint chip to stain in the carpet upon your move in day. They will bill you for EVERY little minute detail. In a couple of instances, I was sent an eviction notice for “failing to pay the monthly rent” a week after submitting my payment. I just recently moved out in May and they have billed me $730.00 for brand new carpeting. Their reason for billing me was because the old carpet had “pet damage” on it; however, neither me or my roommates owned a pet of any kind at any point during our leasing term. We’ve also tried reaching out to them about the pet damage to the carpet to which they will not respond to any of us.

We moved our family here from out of state trusting la costa agents to help us find the best home for us and I am happy we did. The community is nice and there are a lot of families with children like mine. The pool is cool and clean, the hot tub has been broken, we’ve been told it’s a couple years though which is a bummer. The grills were both taken out recently, a fair warning about those amenities not being available anymore. The car wash is hit or miss on working but it’s nice enough when the machine is working. The gym is amazing! The gates are secure and very rarely left open. Our deliveries are always easily brought to our door. Our neighbors are kind enough and it feels like overall, a safe and happy place for many to call home. The maintenance team here is great too! The services they use for carpet and remodel could be addressed. We had to hammer down a lot of exposed carpet nails and the tub seal, paint, and other vanity isn’t very good. The wildlife is awesome ? ? The rent is high but these days, where isn’t it?Overall, 4/5 because we are satisfied here but wish the amenities reflected the advertisements.
