When my sisters and I went to Tin City, we were excited to browse several stores and buy a few souvenirs. We walked into Back of the Bay and saw a few items that caught our eye. I picked one up to check the price and made a comment about how pretty it was. The lady working shouted the price across the store at me. I politely said thank you and kept looking around the store. She followed us around the store, ignoring the other customers and commenting on each item we looked at. I found a pretty skirt and told my sisters that it would be perfect for our mom. I pulled out my phone to take a picture of it. She immediately scolded me and said pictures are not allowed. I immediately apologized and said I didn't know, since there are no signs indicating that. The worker said it's because the "designers" don't want people copying their work. I joked that I couldn't design my own skirt, and she said, "Well, a lot of girls your age do that." The whole time she was talking, she was peering over my shoulder and looking at my phone to check my camera, which I had closed. Her comments clearly indicate that she does not like younger women or think we could afford any of her "designer" apparel. After leaving the store, I Googled the brand, since I really liked the skirt for my mom. I found several pictures of the apparel online, including photos that the store owner uploaded. Although several items are overpriced, we will not be returning because of her terrible customer service.

The woman working made us very uncomfortable. There were multiple other shoppers who she ignored but she followed us around the store and kept making comments on the prices of every item we looked at. She's was clearly insinuating they were out of our price range. It was odd because other than a few overpriced items it's not an expensive store. There were no signs saying photos weren't allowed but she flipped out when we tried to take a photo of a Lulu B dress because "a lot of people [our] age would go home and make it themselves” and the ”designer“ doesn't like it.

My sisters & I are were in town and were super exited to visit and browse at the Tin City shops. We unfortunately had a horrible and unpleasant experience only at this particular “boutique”, from the moment we walked in, the woman working began glaring at us as if we were to possibly steal garments, we gave no indication of that sort. Meanwhile there was other woman in the store and she hardly interrupted their shopping nor she was concerned with them at all. This employee continued to follow us around the store shouting prices of the items we were looking at insinuating that we couldn’t afford them. We stayed calm and followed through with a thank you and smirks. We came across this beautiful piece and my sister wanted to take a picture to send it to our mother (keeping in mind there was no sign in the store stating there was no pictures allowed) the lady flipped out on us and began to lecture us about how we couldn’t take pictures for one we were young ladies and two we would go home and “steal” the design. We chuckled and simply said okay, even after that my sister was just holding her phone in her hand and the lady extended her neck to look over onto my sisters screen. We immediately exited the shop. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting, no one should ever feel discriminated or treated unfairly, we should have enjoyed our experience and although there were items that were gorgeous and we would have loved to look at more, we won’t ever be returning to that boutique for many reasons and the prices isn’t one of them.

I just ordered a Lulu B dress online from The Osprey. After placing the order I realized I didn’t change the size from the default size. I emailed them asking if it was possible to change the size on the order and within minutes I received an email letting me know that it was taken care of! Unbelievable great customer service! After being in retail for 30 years and knowing how important great customer service was in my business, it is such a pleasure to know that a store like The Osprey provided such excellent customer service. I would not get this service from a national retailer. This is a perfect example of why you should shop a small, local business like The Osprey. I will absolutely shop with them again!

Don’t plan on ever setting foot in this store again. Not because of the clothes, which we loved, but because of the sales clerk who not only made us feel unwelcome but chose to challenge us on every possible story line of Covid. Shared how she believes it is a “fake disease” and doesn’t understand the reason behind wearing masks. She did have a mask on until we set foot outside the store when she made a point to pull hers off and drop it to the floor stating “it is all fake and I hate wearing this for work”. She was completely belligerent and angry.

Talk about above and beyond! I had placed an order in September and didn’t get it. I contacted The Osprey and they tracked the order to the local post office. Nope not there. The Osprey not only sent me a second shipment but refunded money for items no longer in stock! Bravo! Thank you! They are the best!

I have not experienced such great customer service in quite some time! The Osprey staff were accommodating and prompt. I purchased a dress that needed to be returned because it was the wrong size. I received the replacement and there was an issue with that article, making it necessary to return. The staff was kind and courteous (a lost art these days) and priority mailed my replacement. The clothes themselves may well be the most comfortable easy to wash and go clothes I've ever owned. This was my first purchase from them, but most definitely not the last. I am now a customer for life!
