I purchased my front door from Smith & DeShields, and at first all went smooth and well. Sales guy was new, but very attentive. Then it all went south from there. My simple replacement hurricane implact door turned into a fiasco. There was nothing about the order that was right from the glass, the texture of the door, the inswing, the color of the hardware. The entire order was incorrect when it was delivered, so I declined delivery. Thankfully Jordan, the supervisor, took over the order and swiftly corrected all the mistakes and delivered the door I had purchased, and gave me a credit for all the troubles including holding up installation. I don’t love mistakes, but it’s how a company handles it afterwards that counts, and I believe Smith & DeShields handled the situation well. Just make sure you get a seasoned sales person.

For excellent customer service and follow through, I want to commend Bill, Boca store manager, for personally coming to our home to examine a problem, then return to replace the needed part himself. Impressive! Thanks Bill.

Honesty, it really made me feel better and I will go back and ask for Cynthia next time and see if I can happily find my new front door. This is the treatment I had always had before. Soooo… changing review from a one star to 3 stars and then will te-review when I go back in to talk with Cynthia. ?
Original 1 star review - Two people behind counter - no one wanted to help me get a replacement front door. I have used S&D before and been very pleased. This was Such A let down. Came in Saturday at 9:30. No other customers. Young woman was pleasant and said she could take down info but couldn’t help me she the asked the “gentleman” next to her if he wanted to help me. He begrudgingly said he was doing computer notes and didn’t even look up and mumbled , “you looking for a door?” Which I had just explained. Obviously going elsewhere.

We worked with Nico Homsi at the Naples location and had a great experience. Knowledgable, honest, and patient. We accomplished so much in 90 minutes. Highly recommend him.

Great company. They offer a great selection of products and the sales team really makes you feel taken care of. I highly recommend Michael Jordan especially. If there's ever an issue with an order, they take care of it. We have accounts elsewhere in the area but they do things right here.

Being a woodworker, I'd expect better customer service so that they could get more business from me. But they're overpriced. Even with five people at the counter no one said hello.
