Having purchased many cars in my lifetime I have never had such a pleasant experience. I brought my son in who was a first time car buyer, we met with Emanus Lansiquot. He was by far the best salesperson I have ever done business with. He made the experience seem less exhausting than it can be. It was very laid back, a bit fun and he was relating to my son on his level which I very much appreciated. Highly recommend! Thank you Emanus!

This is a story about why I will not be purchasing another car from Tamiami Hyundai, Naples FL and will not have my car serviced there in the future.
I purchased a new 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid from them in 2017. I purchased it for two reasons. The dealership was doubling the 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty to 20 years / 200,000 miles and because of the advertised gas mileage ( which has been spot on ).
Outside of routine maintenance I have had 3 repairs that I had hoped were covered. None of the three have been.
A large paint etching from a bird dropping one month after purchase. After washing it off, the paint was visibly damaged. An oil sensor in the past year, and November 2025, the 12 volt lithium battery and a battery control module failed. I was told that both the battery and module were covered for 10 years and 100,000 miles. I was within the 10 years but had 117,000 miles on the car.
Battery - $860
Module - $1200
4 hour book time labor at $250 per hour / $1000 labor
With tax, $3,215.01
The total estimate was for more but I used a 10% off parts and labor up to a $50 maximum discount and then my service advisor supposedly spoke to the Service Manager and secured me a whopping $10 additional discount.
So here is what I am not happy with:
1- the initial sales pitch assuring me that so many things were covered under the 20 year / 200,000 miles warranty and to date nothing has been covered.
2- the astronomical charge to replace a 12
Volt battery and module ($3,215.01)
3- four hours labor at $250 an hour ( yes the rear seat has to come out - 4 bolts - and the battery is integrated into the hybrid battery area but, I was called to say the parts had arrived and 15 minutes later I was called to say the car was ready for pickup??
4- four days for them to get to the car after it was towed in. Several days to diagnose the issue. 4 days to order and have the parts come in and then the repair for a total of 12 days without a car
5 - I was asked if they had permission to wash the car once it was repaired. When I picked up the car it was filthy. The service advisor took it for a car wash after the car was brought to me so my departure was delayed. When you can see things that haven’t been done, I always wonder if they did the work that I can’t see
6- I was never told what was wrong with the $1200 module. How it was tested, etc. was never shown the failed part. I would have felt better hearing that explained to me
7- the initial warranty for these two parts was 10 years/100,000 miles. The warranty on the new parts is now 1 year/12,000 miles. Theoretically I could be asked to spend another 3,215.01 in a year if these fail again
8- when I picked up my car there were 4 service advisors at their desks. None had customers. None seemed the least bit interested in seeing me, welcoming me. For a $3215 repair, at least acknowledge that I have walked into your establishment.
And finally, Tamiami Hyundai’s literature asked you to contact them
If you aren’t 100% satisfied with their service. I did that on Saturday November 15th. Today is Tuesday November 18th at 11:30 am and I have not heard back, therefore my review is now posted on Google
