Questionable business practices - BE AWARE, always ask for proof!In Nov '23 I needed a new helmet, did my research on the internet, saw the helmet I wanted on sale at Trek. Rather than buying online I prefer to support locals stores. (also bought my Trek Domane there). However, the helmet was not marked 'sale' , they couldn't find anything in their systems (??) and I ended up paying full price. I couldn't find the price on the Trek website fast enough.A couple of days later I took a screenshot of the sales price from the internet and went back while on a ride. They apologized (2 computer systems etc blablabla) and offered me a credit. I didn't have the credit card with me that I used for the purchase, so they offered me a store credit tied to my phone number, which will never expire. I accepted.Today I needed a bike computer, called up the store whether they had it on sale as well as the Trek website. They said yes, offered me their last one without any packaging. I stopped by later to pick it up. However, when it came to paying for it, they claim they were unable to locate the store credit, though could remember the pricing issue with the helmet. Jack (supposedly the manager) got involved, stating they can't find the credit. He didn't offer any solution and I had no proof of them ever processing the store credit for the helmet. My comment that I trusted them to process the credit as promised didn't move Jack to any suggestion or solution. I told him that I need to rely on proper business practices as a customer and they are not meeting that standard. Still no reaction, so I told him he lost me as a customer forever.We are talking less than 50$, but violating such a basic ethical business principle deserves to be made known beyond the circle of cycling friends....Once a business loses trust with the customers, it should face tough times when business is not going so well, especially with locals.So, and as a warning, if you decided to buy there, just make sure you have a proof of everything they said they will do, be it a receipt or credit or whatever.

Purchased a Trek Ponto go. Love the bike. So much fun to ride. It’s a 3 in 1 bike. Regular bike, pedal assist or full power. Trek store very helpful and great service. Highly recommend.

The staff did a great job of helping me select a bicycle from explaining the differences between various types and models and making all available for test rides. There was no rush or pressure in the process.

I stopped at Cycle Shak first in Naples and the guy was rude and very pricey. So I went to Trek store and they were very helpful and great prices. They took care of my needs that day. This TREK shop is a rare find in this area. I went to 3 “highly rated” bike shops to get some minor work done and install 2 new carbon wheels and tires. Each time I was treated either as an interruption, an idiot, or given outrageous quotes and wait times. I so badly wanted to give up - but I wanted my bike up and running more. So I went to TREK and from the moment I walked in I was treated like a VIP. I had two staff members all over it! While I explained what I needed to one, the other was already retrieving the bike, wheels, and parts from my truck. They were genuine in their kindness as well as their desire to do whatever I needed and have it done whenever I wanted it. Like I said, a rare find. The TREK staff could give a master class in sales and service and we would all be willing to “shop local” way more often. Thanks TREK!
