We have been buying The Chicken Chips for years. Usually at the 3rd St Farmers market where there are always free samples and a friendly employee that obviously loves dogs. Yesterday we ( my husband and our PWD) shopped at the store. We were looking for new treats that did not contain chicken. We were surprised that the staff of 2 women, one of them restocking and the other behind the counter did not take any interest in our presence at all. As I spoke to my husband and asked him to read the ingredients on the labels of treats ( I forgot my glasses) Neither of them chimed in to help or recommend a thing. We spent about $60 on treats and toys and walked out feeling that they were not very dog or people friendly. What's up? We were very surprised.

Ordered some Farmina mini healthy weight dog food for my dachshund that's hard to find. $37 for 4.5 lb bag. Most items in the store are pricey.

Love this store! They sell very high-quality pet food and treats. I can always count on finding new things for my dog to eat that don’t contain additives or grains he’s allergic to. They also make their own brand of treats that the dogs in our family are addicted to. The owners and staff make shopping an incredible experience by being helpful, welcoming & informative. Wholesome Hound is the only place I trust wholeheartedly for my dog. I left Naples almost 2 years ago and I still buy from Wholesome Hound out of state because I can’t find another retailer with the same quality products.

They sell low quality pet harnesses. One I bought broke after about two months of normal use on my 10 lb dog. Brought it in for a refund and bought another one. Same thing happened but in one month. Then the store owner complained about me to a friend in town. Sounds like poor customer service to me. Will never be visiting here again. Best you try the big stores. They’d never try ruining the reputation of their own customers. DO NOT GO HERE

Here is the BEST pet food store in town. Truly wholesome and Stephanie gives personal attention. They carry other items like pretty, safe harnesses. All the treats are healthy. Just opposite Wynns on 41. Only place we would go after visiting so many others.

We have been longtime customers of this business and they are always amazing, but today was above and beyond. We brought our two lab puppies in to get some harnesses and the ladies working there took the time to find the perfect ones, fit them to our pups, give them chicken chips and lavish them with affection. We got toys and harnesses and all of us left with big smiles! Thank you, ladies! You are the definition of customer service ❤️
