Ordered a aiptasia filefish and a copperband butterfly fish last week. Within 24 hours the filefish was dead and now 5 days later the butterfly fish is dead. When I emailed them asking for a credit for the first fish that I already threw away they said they needed a picture. I have pics of the second fish dead on my healthy tank if y'all would like to see them and make it right. $120 wasted DO NOT BUY FISH FROM THIS COMPANY.

DOAs, improper shipping, you have to re-pay for shipping after DOAs, and they add bag fees on top of that. Plus the owner of the store is pretty cruel, and has been harassing customers who don't have a good experience and speak out. Thus a chain reaction of bad reviews will follow. Karma is a 13itch

There are so many better companies to go through that wont make the experience awful. The customer service and communication here is specifically horrible, they add random "bagging" fees, and when they send you dead animals they make you re-pay for shipping AND the "bag fees" that are separate from shipping.

In Reference to my wife's review. The Instagram photo you are referring to is of the other seahorse I received. I ordered a pair and one was near dead on arrival and was clearly dieing and the other is in good health, i tried everything i could to help the animal but it was to far gone when i received it and if you are referring to the very small baby seahorse I've had that one for months. It also seem funny that I sent multiple photos in many different forms thru emails and for some reason no matter how i sent them you couldn't open them. The customer service was very poor. It has taken almost two weeks to get this resolved instead of a refund I offered to just take a replacement but I was asked to pay for shipping and packaging again when this was a company's issue. This was the seahorse I received clearly has a deformation and hole on its nose and mouth and clearly blind in its left eye. Nothing against the animal but something like this should have never been shipped to some one because it clearly has health issues.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered a pair of lined sea horses they came in the mail last week one had a big hole in his mouth and blind in one eye. He was dead. It has been a big Hassel since then. Emailed and called finally got ahold of them lady was rude on phone said she didn't have time to deal with this right now ok whatever. Finally after a week they refunded half my order. All I wanted was a replacement but wanted me to pay for shipping and the box. Why would I pay anything more when it was there fault they sent me a very noticeable sick sea horse . Will not be ordering again!

I bought 2 fish and 3 corals from them. Upon arrival the fish were sluggish and barely moved. I acclimated the fish correctly and placed fish in tank the first fish died within 24 hours and the second died the next day. I have other fish in my tank that are still alive to this day. I have had this tank for over 4 years never had issues with adding fish. I did not have time to notify the SWR until after I got home from work. All they could say was sorry but you did not notify us in time. I spent alot of money on these fish and expected a bit more. Would not recommend buying fish from them poor customer service as well

WOW!!!!!! Just recieved my order from Salty Bottom Reef - Mexican turbo snails 16 HUGE!!!!!- Large Green Nassarius Snails 24 HUGE!!!- FIRE SHRIMP X2 AWESUM!!!! UNBELIEVABLE PACKING!!!!! Heat pack , Doubled bagged specimens Then bagged again in LARGER bag for safety.. I've ordered at least 6 times from Huge dealers including Live Aquaria THHIS Year and THIS WAS THE BEST PACKED SHIPMENT!!!! AND PRICING WAS MORE THAN FAIR!!!! Beware of the company Salty Bottom Reef. They are a scam shop and they do not know what their fish are. I ordered a fish and got a completely wrong fish that I never wanted nor is it good to be in my tank. Do not shop here.

have placed multiple orders with them and all i can say is i am amazed by how beautiful there selection and there service are. orders are always ready and correct . fish and corals are always healthy . i drive from spring hill and pass multiple fish stores but none beats Salty Bottom.. ????

Purchased several fish and a handful of snails and clams. Shipping was quick and accurate. Tangs arrived healthy and active. There was a minor abrasion on the copperbanded butterfly which stressed and took some extra time to adjust after shipment (currently in qt being treated) and the dottyback didn’t ship well and died not long after arrival which is a risk you take in long shipments (FL-> PA). I didn’t file any claim as the rest of the shipment was in good condition and acclimated easily. Overall this company did a great job with communication, packaging and quality of livestock. I will be doing business again with them.

I placed an order of 1 foxface, two mexican turbo snails, several nessairus snails, 4 emerald crabs, and two ninja star snails. EVERYTHING that i ordered is alive and thriving! The foxface was pretty stressed and i must say i was worried at first. After introducing to the tank i barely saw him for 3 days. It turned out i had nothing to worry about because he is very much alive and thriving! All of my critters are doing very well and destroying my hair algae in my new aquarium. The emerald crabs went in a different aquarium where they are working on my bubble algae infestation lol. I will be ordering from here again!
