Worst experience at a library I’ve ever encountered (I’ve visited HUNDREDS). First, there are no private rooms available. That’s fine. Next, the WiFi isn’t working or open. That’s fine, I’ll connect to my phone. Well, an employee immediately comes over to tell me I can’t plug in my computer cord because it’s a tripping hazard.. (it wasn’t) And I need a screw on lid for my drink. Okay, I move to the location she suggested to plug in my computer. She leaves. I get on my zoom meeting (headphones on and talking ad quietly as I can), and she immediately comes back over and tells me I can’t speak in the library and I need to go into the lobby!! I go out to the lobby, and what do you know, there is no seating. Just a long table of kids yelling and coloring. I will never ever ever be back and I can’t imagine a worse place to go work. I don’t even think they want people in there. The front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful as well and seemed like they didn’t want to be there or do their job. And finally, I found out there ARE private rooms to use and schedule out. The unhelpful and smug woman at the front said they don’t have any at that location. What a disgraceful use of tax dollars and service to the public. -100 stars.

I live in Port Orange, and this place is nearly identical to the PO library. It would be nice to have more outlets at the tables.

I’m new to the area and I have only been to this library a handful of times . My family and I all enjoy it ! However on my day off I came in without the kids to get some peace. I first pick my books then go to pick out a few books for my children. I sit in the area to do a puzzle as it’s completely empty due to it being a weekday most kids are at school. So I didn’t see an issue with it . An employee immediately comes over and informs me I’m not allowed to be in the area unless me kids are present. Which I find absolutely ridiculous. She was nice about it but with and empt library and not much to do you think it wouldn’t cause an issue. I instantly left once I tern these books in I won’t be attending this library again.

It’s 100+ degrees outside and they want to be so cheap on the AC it feels like 80 degrees inside the library. Place is ridiculous
