I'm done with this place. It was bad under old ownership and no better with new regime. They lack the expertise to diagnose problems and explain clearly to the customer how to correct them. Their main goal is to push expensive products to increase their bottom line.

Jeff and his man just finished installing a heater and pool light, Jeff was fantastic from beginning to end...He called me back promptly, gave me a good price and showed up on time...As a 30 year self employed contractor into the 2nd generation of work, I can tell you calling back and doing what you say with a fair price IS business, 2 companies never even called back...A big 5 star

Apparently with new ownership comes ridiculously high prices. I stopped in here the other day for some chlorine refills only to find the price substantially higher. Staff was friendly and accommodating but the new prices leave much to be desired for. It's unfortunate, but after nearly a decade of shopping there I believe it's time to start going elsewhere.

WOW! 40# bag of salt $13.99, but then again why go to the big box stores and pay $7.00.?

Been going to pinch a penny NSB for years. Never was made to feel welcome there. Now they are under new ownership, not only do they make you feel like you need them,,,,, they uped their prices 30 to 40%. Amazon is so much cheaper. Edgewater, All plumbing is also cheaper, and they are nicer.

I called on a Saturday and scheduled a repair to my pool filter for Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning came and went and nobody showed up. I called in the afternoon and they said would contact the tech and call me back. Nobody called me back. I called again on Wednesday and they told me that they would be out later that afternoon. Nobody ever called or showed up and that’s when I also gave up.

To leave a message that you were just here when you KNOW the homeowner is in Japan is DISGUSTING!!I was ltold “someone” would be here after 2:30pm. I have numerous phone messages making sure the one hour I was gone to take my daughter to work they would not show up!CONFIRMED. After dropping my daughter off I called and they said they were on “their way” within 2-3 hours. I told them i am outside.I heard the phone ring and ran inside to hear this MF say “hey we were just at your house and turned your pump on. Everything is fine!”They were NOT HERE. Mom is in Japan. And they thought they could screw her. AND THE PUMP IS NOT ON!

I have had Pinch A Penny in New Smyrna Beach FL. ruining my pool surface and equipment for 3 years. My water quality has been in a corrosive state. I have made several calls to Jim Girvin regarding service and water quality. Nothing gets resolved. Jim Girvin doesn't even hold the license in his name for this business. He is collecting money, and not providing quality service. I was told on 8/25/2022 to either pay for monthly service in full for the year, or put a credit card in file for monthly billing, due to customers not wanting to pay. I can see why! If there is an issue, they send another tech out. I called and canceled service. I requested a refund and call back form Jim Girvin on 3/1/2023. Never got a call back. I also left a message with corporate office on 2/28/2023, to discuss obligation for franchise owners upholding Pinch A Penny brand. No call back to date. I will attempt to contact both on 3/3/2023. If no response, I will proceed with legal action.

Pinch a penny New Smyrna Beach.I have been using this pool service for months. I noticed a strong smell of chlorine in my salt pool.I brought the test kit to pinch a penny and they ran all the Tess and said I needed $100 in chemicals. If someone has been maintaining my pool for several months I should not have to go in and buy $100 in chemicals.Avoid at all costs!! Tgey are horrible!!

The guys working are good, but the management is rude. Raised their fees 30% and demanded a credit card for payment after being a loyal paying customer for years.

Was happy they were open today (New Years Eve) but was told they are not testing water tiday because it is a holiday. So...how do we know what to buy if they won't test the water? The 4 other potential customers also walked without a purchase. Makes no sense. Hope this person on staff was not the manager. Not a good way to do business. Might as well be closed.

Clean store, well organized, friendly staff. Beautiful puppy who belongs to one of the staff members is there to greet you...when she isn't napping.

I would not hire these buffoons to clean and service my dog's water dish. Their technical service is a joke. All they do is give you a ton of excuses and never admit that they just failed to do the job they were being paid to do.
