We rented a boat from the New Smyrna Beach location on 8/18. It said it was a pontoon boat that could seat 8 people. #26 Sweetwater.
This boat should not even be on the water. It did not seat 8- most of the seats were missing off the boat. There was the captains chair and one bench seat that four of us had to squeeze into. There was also a cheap patio chair with pool noodles taped to it.
The boat was dented with pieces falling off of it. Nothing on the dash was operable. There was no depth finder, no horn, no lights. No speedometer and no gas gauge working.
According to the US Coast Guard, a boat must have navigation lights and a horn. You sent us out on an illegal boat.
The throttle cables were completely rusted through. Someone will get stranded on the water when these snap.
This boat is ready for the junkyard. It is incomprehensible that you actually rented this to customers.
We paid a $45 gas “deposit”. Since there is no way to see how much gas you actually use because the gauge is broken, I assume you just tell everyone they used that much gas. We didn’t go very far and calculated we could not have used more than 5 gallons- yet we were charged the full $45.
In addition, the deck hand should not be working at all with the public. I will leave it at that.
I would have complained about the boat at the time of rental, but I had people visiting.

We rented two boats for a half day trip to Disappearing Island. The reservation process was easy as you can view the boats on line. The staff were great, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them and hope to rent again in the near future.

It is a little pricey. But the rain got us for 2 of the four hours, not good. A day on the water is the best.

Terrific service - friendly and helpful. We took my handicapped son out for the day and Jay and the crew made sure we got him on and off the boat with a minimum of fuss.

The boat was pretty beat up though (after all, it is a rental.) Top speed was less than 10 knots which made it difficult to get anywhere quickly. A storage bin cover collapsed when one of the passengers put weight on it.

Boat broke called they said they would be out would not start all the locals were laughing and saying do not go to sand dollar always happens. We could not use the boat all day. At the end of the day it finally started we. We took the boat back I asked why they never came out, they said they called and I didn’t answer lol I answered everyone else all day I did not have missed calls. We unloaded the boat and the guy stated he will get me something he will email it to me 1/2 day or another day. The only thing I got was a invoice for the full amount beware of sand dollar.

Great time, great staff, nice boats.
The only issue I had was their parking lot signage.
It is very unclear where to park, and my car was towed. They should be very clear with guests where to park. Seems they don’t really care since it’s not their problem.

Called in advance and spoke to Joel about booking through Groupon. He suggested I should just come in and he would honor the Groupon rate. Got there the next day and the guy getting us the boat got Joel on the phone to confirm he would honor the Groupon rate. Unfortunately we were charged more than the rate we discussed. I called and was told the difference would be refunded but it hasn’t.
All of that probably wouldn’t have even mattered if the pontoon boat we rented didn’t look like the most hideous thing I had ever seen! Rips and tears in all of the seats, gas light didn’t work, and the doors on the boat don’t stay shut in their own.

Terrible experience. They tried to charge me for something I didn’t do, even tho I had the boaters insurance (they won’t tell you what’s covered under the insurance). Luckily for me I took pics and videos to prove them wrong. Make sure to take before and after pics and videos of your boat rental before you leave! They’ll try and get you. The marks in the photos is what they claimed were “burnt marks” due to “fireworks” we supposedly lit off which we obviously didn’t. Again thankfully we took videos when we first took off to show those marks were already there! BEWARE!

Awesome place to rent a boat great prices and the staff is excellent especially Justin! We'll definitely be back to do a family trip on one of their pontoon boats!

The pontoon’s condition was, by far, the worst I have ever experienced in all my years of boat rentals. Registration was expired, which we discovered when we were told by sheriff’s water patrol upon routine inspection. Faulty ignition circuit, made it difficult to start. Engine trim toggle switch did not work. Propeller was damaged. No 2 way radio for emergency communications. No FM radio. We actually had to be towed back in at the end of the day!?
DO NOT waste your money or time with this rental company.
