Tim is such an amazing mechanic. I had major car troubles and he helped me make it so easy to get fixed. Every step of the way he was in communication with me and updating me on my car. He went above and beyond! Definitely recommend him to anyone needing car related services.

I broke down in Gainesville on a Sunday on my way home to St.Petersburg from a trip from Kentucky. This company answered my call and had a mechanic on their way within an hour. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and and got me back on the road as soon as possible. I had a busted water pump belt and pulley. The price was very good for a weekend roadside repair. I highly recommend this company.

I called at 5:30, and fully expected to be met with grumpiness at the time of day. Instead, I received the absolute best service from a small business I think I’ve ever had. The “bald mechanic” himself couldn’t come, but instead sent me Zach, like God sending his angels down to earth. Zach was an absolute blessing, knew his stuff, and got us handled perfectly. I couldn’t be more thankful that I decided to call this company. Standout people, standout business. I seriously think I’ll drive two hours to here just to get my oil changed just to help support these guys. Seriously, I can’t thank y’all enough.Services: Electrical repair

I’m having electrical issues with my car. I live In a completely different state than Bald Mechanic. He has been walking me through steps to figure out the problem my car is having. Great guy, absolutely did not have to do any this. Makes me realize that there are still good people in the world. If I lived in Florida he would be the first guy I call to work on my vehicles.

From first contact, it was very clear to me that I was dealing with a highly qualified mechanic and very fair and kind person. Tim fit me into his schedule on a weekend bc the situation was urgent for me, as I am trying to purchase a car which I desperately need. But of course I want to make sure it's not a clunker. Lol. He examined all systems of the car, explaining as he went, and patiently allowing me to take pics and notes, and of course he also provided me his own detailed notes. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Five enthusiastic shining stars!! Thank you again, Tim! :-)

If I could give him more than a 5 star rating I would. Tim was very pleasant, he has the best customer service, his prices were set up front he is very honest. When i contacted him he came out to my job right away to look at my vehicle told me what was wrong sqeezed me in his schedule and got my car fixed in less than a day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Tim knows what he's doing, and is honest about what he cannot do. He's efficient, and will explain his findings in a way that makes sense. After seeing his work, he has now become my family's primary mechanic. Best auto repair experience I have ever had.I asked the owner, Tim, for an usual service. Which was for his business to perform an auto repair with me, rather than for me. Tim said yes, and it turned out to be the best auto repair experience I have had in my life so far.Zec was the mechanic who came to do the work with me. He was courteous, well informed on the work, explained the process well and the tools used, and was patient with me in the repair process. We replaced brake pads and rotors for my rear wheels, and the passenger rear caliper. (2006 Toyota 4Runner) We ran into a couple hangups, which sent the repair sideways a little. However, we worked through them. I actually enjoyed watching a seasoned mechanic trouble shoot in order to figure out what was happening. This was where it was super helpful to have an experienced mechanic doing that work with me, as I’m pretty certain it would have taken me much longer to resolve those “send you sideways” problems on my own.I really enjoyed this “repair with me” experience. I got to learn how to perform the repair. I had good company. Zec was a patient and enthusiastic teacher. And I got a good “auto repair” memory out of it. (Which is fairly rare for me.) I have plans for them to assist us with other auto repairs in the near future.Note: I told the business owner, Tim, that they didn’t need to warranty the work since I was doing it with them, and in this case, had already purchased the parts. That seemed reasonable to me and to him. I think that when they do all the work themselves and supply the parts that they normally warranty their work.Since the repair, I’ve had some squealing at the driver’s rear side wheel. (Which wasn’t there when we test drove the T4R immediately after the repair.) I think this is due to my old caliper on that side, or the pads just getting settled into the new rotors. Regardless of cause, Zec has been available to answer questions about it, provide perspective on it, and come over again to look at it if it doesn’t resolve. So despite lack of a traditional warranty, I have felt well-tended after the repair. That has been relieving, as well as time saving.Thank you Tim and Zec!! I'm a happy, and relieved, customer.Update: Just had Zec out again from Bald Mechanic for A/C diagnostics on a 2007 Honda Civic and it was another good experience. I learned more about auto A/C systems and we narrowed down the problem to be likely the compressor clutch. Seems we should be able to fix it for about 20-25% the cost of replacing the entire compressor. So cheers to good diagnostics.Services: Auto A/C recharge
