My name is Amy & I just had to share this. The staff at the Newberry Walgreens have been the most amazing people I have ever met. Jasmine & her co-workers bent over backwards to help me receive my medication. The situation was incredibly stressful & these wonderful ladies went above & beyond in my time of need. They fixed the problem & on top of that, made me feel incredibly welcomed & just completely supported. I cannot thank you enough again Jasmine. Walgreens, do not ever let her go!! I will absolutely continue coming here now. Thank you for all that help.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Walgreen store. I purchased a holiday gift online and picked it up in-store, but when I got home, I discovered the package was broken and opened. Since it was meant to be a gift, I returned to the store to replace it, expecting a simple resolution. Unfortunately, that was far from what happened.
The employee who assisted me, Vinson, was not only unhelpful but outright accusatory. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, he implied that I had opened and damaged the package myself, even stating, “people do those things.” When I confronted him about his assumptions, he became defensive and escalated the situation into an unnecessary argument. After I called for a manager, he refused to let me explain, became even more defensive, and eventually walked away without apologizing or resolving the issue.
Thankfully, his manager stepped in and handled the situation with professionalism and care. She checked the package, confirmed it hadn’t been used, and acknowledged that it was unacceptable to sell a broken item. Since no replacement was available, she refunded my purchase without any hassle. Her kindness and understanding were the only saving grace of this experience.
What should have been a simple exchange turned into an incredibly frustrating ordeal due to Vinson’s behavior. It’s shocking that an employee would accuse a loyal customer over a simple return. Walgreens has always been one of my favorite stores, but this incident has left me questioning their customer service standards.
To Walgreens management: please ensure employees like Vinson receive proper training so they know how to handle these situations with respect and professionalism. No customer should have to endure what I experienced.

This Walgreens pharmacy location is phenomenal! The drive-through is extremely convenient. I do all my service requests through the app and never have any issues with my prescriptions. The service is also very fast—I'm able to pick up most items by the following business day.

Terrible customer service. No since of urgency to help patients with appointments. I had scheduled a vaccination appointment at 12:30. I arrived 10 minutes early to check in. I was told someone would be with me shortly. I was the only patient waiting. I sat and watched everyone behind the counterworking. Staff was busy helping at drive thru, stocking shelves and filling prescriptions. They seemed oblivious to the fact I was waiting. I waited until 12:50 to ask how much longer, as I had a 12:30 appointment. I was told just give them a few more minutes. Finally, at 1:05 someone came out to give me my vaccination. I will not be back to Walgreens for any other vaccinations. .

I was told my medicine would be ready today. It wasn’t nor was it at this pharmacy. It’s on Tower road, I asked if it’s ready there? “I have no idea”, she says. Can she check? Of course not! I have to call myself and wait another 15 minutes for someone to finally answer. Then guess what? Not ready till Monday! Why didn’t they text me with that info?? They have my number. This literally happens every time. Use Wise’s and out these jerks out of business.
