The Vet grossly mis-diagnosed my cat with an Oral lesion disease which would require her losing her teeth one at a time and possible jaw bone scrapping. I agreed To cleaning and x-Ray costing 350. Her tooth was fine and just gingivitis. They charged me 500.00 and made up that the extra charge was for "pain management". She was sent home with no pain meds. The staff were so condescending and Vet never called me after waiting 5 hrs after I dropped her off. She was busy having her lunch! I was so deeply upset about this dx I actually considered putting my two yr old cat down instead of a slow torture of losing all her teeth. I would never go back to this place. Horrible communication except for when they wanted money. I gave a 50.00 deposit to hold the surgery date. That somehow disappeared when the bill came and was not acknowledged. Had a bad experience getting her pain meds refilled a month ago. I was charged a fee bc the Dr was not in on the day I ran out. Horrible and scary time for my cat and I.

Terrible experience with both my dog and cat. I do not recommend. My cat is sick months later after his dental cleaning that turned out to include 6 extractions that may not have been necessary. They did not use antibiotics and he got a horrible infection. They told me he would be "high" from the anesthesia for up to 3 days after the surgery. This is simply called an overdose and it was miserable for him and me. He has been struggling with a skin problem ever since. The emergency clinic internist is now testing him for Feline Leukemia Virus that he could have caught at Brandt. Initially they thought it was mange, mites, a fungus or bacterial infection. Equally bad scare with my dog being improperly diagnosed. Not a good vet- young and inexperienced. Not a good facility.

This clinic is a joke. My dog has anxiety, and they will not deal with her at all. In fact, they want her drugged so that they do as little work as possible. Stay away if you want to avoid a headache and multiple visits to accomplish simple tasks.

Can't speak highly enough of Dr. Cantwell and her feline knowledge. Having a senior cat is a challenge and she has been very thorough, educational, caring and treats my cat like it's her own. Vet Tech Ashley who loves 'spicy kitties' is amazing with mine and I am relieved if she is there during our visits. When your vet calls you to check on not only your pet but you as well, that speaks volumes to the care they provide.

This place charged my husband and I $1500 dollars and were still unable to diagnose my dog. I took her to another vet and they did basically the same exact thing and charged us $350. I guess if you have money to blow go ahead and waste it here. As for me, I have three kids and it's a pandemic and here I am struggling to pay bills while these thieves charged us $1500 and couldn't diagnose my dog. Money down the drain but a lesson learned, and now I have the ability to warn any friends of highway robbery. And don't even try getting records emailed or faxed. We spent 3 hours battling on the phone with the receptionist trying to get our dogs lab work emailed to a different vet. When we questioned them they questioned us on why we would want a second opinion when things weren't adding up.

I've used Brandt for about 3 yrs. I used to kennel my service dog until they told me he barks all the time. He's been trained not to bark so I'm not sure why. I stopped kenneling him there. He got shots, toenail trims and regular comprehensive exams with no issues ever discussed. I was told he was healthy. Last week I took him in for a limp. They said it was arthritis. On the way home in the car he cried and wouldn't put his paw down. I took him back the next day. They did an X-ray and still insisted it was arthritis and gave us pain killers. After 4 days he was putting his foot down but still limping. I took him to the Island Hospital and before they did an X-ray to confirm, found bone cancer in his shoulder. It was spreading so any measures taken wouldn't have give him more than a few months to live. I chose not to watch him suffer so he was put to sleep. I feel betrayed and cheated out of my best friend and $700 spent needlessly. If it doesn't feel right, walk out of there.

I *love* this clinic! Jasmine, my 18 year old kitty cat was having “digestive” problems, and they got her back on her feet! Very very professional, caring, and friendly.

Fear free clinic, incredible time & attention spent on my cat. This is an old practice that has been taken over by some new female vets . I actually do cat rescue and I'm not sure I've ever been as impressed with an animal Veterinary practice as I am with this one. Innovative and progressive . Well worth trying for your pet's care.

You will not find a better veterinary service in this area! From the front desk personnel to the techs and doctors, these are the MOST caring and friendly people ever. They do everything possible to make your pet feel comfortable and cared for, including bandanas sprayed with calming pheromones (which really do work!). We feel so fortunate to have found Brandt Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Hendershot.

Clean, comfortable and full of kind people handing out treats to my very nervous dog. They took their time with us, and went the extra mile to make my big little guy calm and secure. Extra bonus points for the soft calming music, the pheromone spray bandana, the literature, and leaving us in the exam room instead of the waiting area. I have never experienced a vet visit like this before, and am so glad to be here now!

Best Veterinary Clinic ever! I drive all the way from BRADENTON, because my cat Tsuki deserves THE BEST care. This clinic prides in being cat friendly, which is something we highly appreciate. The technicians even wait with Tsuki in the exam room while I check out, so she's not frighten by any doggies that are in the waiting area. The experiences at Brandt are genuine and educated, finally a veterinary clinic I love & trust! on a side note, check out Dr. Cantwell's manicure are always on point, just sayin'
