The Shell Factory has closed down. Not sure why its not showing that here, it was a fabulous place, but the animals have all found a new home, and the gift shop items were all sold.

This place is a dump. From the outside it looks like a closed down factory. If there were not about 10 cars out front I would not have tried to go inside. It's like the place that time forgot. A bunch of old made in China junk the sea shells are priced to not have to increase price in till year 2065 crazy high prices. The back of the stores has a run down type so zoo, there is a bar you will need that after walking through the most expensive dump you have ever been in. I bought three starfish and a tee shirt $68.00 these were not large starfish two were about 2 inches one 6 inches. I'm Serrano if you are boarded out of your mind go here just so you can see for yourself. What a joke.

It was fun but the restaurant clearly needed some help Dodd was super slow nobody inside everyone outside they put one person inside and decided he fine alone also the zoo part I don't have anything with turtles but why do we have one baby turtle with many bats or one baby turtle with a Tucan remind these turtles have there own shelter also putting them in with alagaters at first I thought that these could not be with the others nope same kind of turtles also mint golfing holes in the course clearly the people don't care about the course it was not good then zip lines loud as heck there was a part we're nobody was at so was nice the only thing I can say was good was the caressed because the lady was nice it worked that was fine and gem minding find your gem in the sand was fun but I also can't forget the main lady that really sets up everything that was going on and appreciated that and can't forget my waiter cris who was on top of everything well this was interesting day over there I'm sorry I forgot the rock climbing it was closed to but I also forgot the last thing bumper boat that was great and the little market well this was April 2nd 2024 reply on my review if it gets better

Great place to visit. There's a huge selection of shells, coral and many other items. Employees were very kind. Inside was clean and I would definitely go back to visit.

Force you to pay for 2 days rather than 1. The bathroom facilities white doors covered in grime. Camel etched a figure 8 into the ground. The turtles in reptile house, one had no space to sun bathe. 3 stacked on each other to try to dry. This is very important for their health. The sikie rooster is aggressive. The petting zoo is closed off have to reach over fence. The animals severely over fed so it's not fun to even buy them food.

Came after some months without visiting just this week...and It's gone downhill drastically, bridge is falling apart animal's seem to be in dire need of cleaning and care,( saw dead fish and fifty turtles everywhere) just not the gem it used to be....hopefully they start fixing it back up because this place used to be a fav for a lil day trip with the family!

Overpriced!! Tourist trap! The seashell stores on Sanibel are less$$. Nothing is marked so unless you know what the shell is, you are out of luck bc none of the employees know either.

Wish I could give it a five but it's at best a tourist trap. The main building has a musty odor. The nature park is run down and doesn't have many animals it was just very disappointing. On a good note the pulled pork sandwich at the restaurant was great.

It has great entertainment and drinks and the store is great. Our waitress was lovely. The restaurant and food is mediocre at best!! We went for St. Patrick's Day dinner. The food was cold and there wasn't much corned beef on the plate and the carrots were rotten on the ends and the cabbage was hard as a rock. It isn't like they didn't know there were going to be a lot of people. The potatoes were good. They need a different chef!!!
